Boss Hog in the Arkansas

If anyone is in need of entertainment, Justin Acri (the buzz) is in full meltdown mode. Fans are calling in talking about the game and he is doing his best to overlook the coaching miscues from Saturday.
That's right, you don't want to be the man to replace the man.  You want to be the man to replace Rory Segrest.

I'd hate to have to take the calls today.

Good for him for trying to stay objective. It gets harder with every loss.

Bo's Show should be entertaining. After TCU he just sat and let callers blast the loss and B.B. You could tell he hated it. And as the A&M game got closer he proclaimed it would be a win and we'd move on...now his week will be another week of rants and anger. Classic

Acri would rather be talking about things he really cares about like who has the best fajitas in central Arkansas.

Who does have the best fajitas in central Arkansas?

Its amazing how little the media in Arkansas knows about x's and 0's and that is probably good for Brett.

I am sure he will point out we were tied at the end of regulation and we were in a position to win.  And, that's all you can ask for is a chance.

How about a real comment Jim?? Such as, is Bert seriously in trouble with the powers that be?
Will I live long enough to see us win again? Will any of us?

No media member has the stones to actually ask the important questions and put the UofA in a tight spot about Bielema's job he's doing, they're afraid they will lose they're jobs for asking such questions and making the University look bad.  Every media outlet wants to suckle from the power teet of the UofA and if they ever lose their place in line at the teet they are cut off for good.

Basically. Can you blame them? What sports reporting would you do in the state of AR if you get 'blackballed' from hog football?

Acri sounded like a spoiled child. I know he is the same height as most toddlers, but he is old enough to act a little more professionally. He can't stand when he is wrong. Perhaps he could stick to UCA sports. Not quite as rough a fan base.

Actually somebody (don't know who) at the postgame press conference asked "You said you came here to win the SEC, are you running out of time?".  Beliema took it as referring to this season "We only have one loss.  We have everybody else left to play".  I don't think that what the reporter was asking.  I took it as directly asking if his tenure at Arkansas might be running out.

Acri was a Nutt hugger extraordinaire.

But maybe he gets a pass for not calling the fans "Muslim terrorists".

OTOH, if he had said that, he might be the play-by-play guy by now.

This is an excellent way for him to deflect from his 'reporting' of a Whaley broken jaw on Friday.

Nevermind the rumor mongering and gossip that undermines the program.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I didn't want this post to go unnoticed. 😁
It really is this simple. Unchecked government power leads to corruption, and lack of accountability for it is drastically eroding confidence in our institutions.    aristotle

Yeah, I heard that too.  I actually stopped what I was doing to listen to the response.  I think Bret knew what he was referring to as well, but he deflected it by acting as if the question was in reference to the season.  I got a chuckle out of that and the ensuring silence afterwards.

That will be a tough game for UCA.

Sam Houston State's QB, Briscoe, is probably going to be at worst a 2nd round NFL draft pick.

Here is an article that brings up him maybe being the next Wentz.
