That gives him an excuse to shove a GA?

Didn't say that Jack Monkey now did I, what I did do was support a "Apparently" with a in context supporting article of fact, something that escaped you.

If that happened at a Arkansas scrimmage most here would be lauding a legit "reason" not a excuse for a improper  taunt of a GA..

aTm finished 6-2 in league play. 3rd in the West. Worked out well for UF & LSU who both beat aTm at College Station. Not to mention 'Bama seemed to rebound nicely.

So you have a GA that works with the defense standing along the sidelines.  Johnny has the ball intercepted and the GA jumps and yells, "Yeah baby, nice play" to his boy that just made a nice break on the ball and little Johnny shoves him.

Make him run until he pukes.  Cannot lose his composure like that.

Agree.  Head coach has to keep him in check.

I'm just curious if any NFL team will intensionally tank the season to get first crack at drafting him or dealing the pick away for a huge ransom.

I'm not even sure he's a 1st round player.  He sure as heck isn't worth tanking your season over.  Clowney is a different story.  Of course the Chiefs have to have the 1st pick this year when there isn't a real guarantee out there.  Makes me sick knowing next year we could have picked up the cornerstone to the franchise.

Andy Reid has a lot of work to do.  He had Vick and McNugget, two mobile/running QB's, long before the pistal became hot.  Reid will build his team by grabbing the best available fits he can find.  The following year, they'll probably still have a high pick and can use that to go after Clowney, Johnny Tootball or some other cornerstone for the franchise.

Pure fiction on your part and I would expect more from a mod and media person, epic fail on both counts IMO on credibility. Pure fiction..

He has to be living the life. I would imagine that there are very few rules that apply to him. He isn't even taking classes on campus. All of his classes are online classes. There is no doubt in my mind that he isn't actually taking a single class.

That's YOUR opinion, the event is open to interpretation if you wasn't there and heard and saw the act yourself, much ado about nothing.... IMO and it was a GA could be a 21 year old smart mouth for all we know, maybe maybe not...

You actually have no idea what you are talking about.

The play was on the sidelines.  Coaches aren't usually running around right next to the qb or any other player while the action is happening.  So, again, the GA was on the sidelines.  It wasn't like he was in Little Johnny's space.

Secondly, whatever happens good or bad, as soon as the play is over every coach and every GA starts yelling.  They are celebrating, coaching, cursing, directing on every single play.  When the defense wins on a play there is always cheers of, "Atta boy" or "Yeah baby."

Thirdly, in ALL of my years of covering practice I have NEVER seen a player shove a coach, a GA or even a manager.  Not under HdN, and for sure not under BP did that EVER happen.

Finally, if you allow the "star" to do that then it is more difficult to deal with the rest of the team.  I saw Mallett, Tyler and Cobi get yelled at and made to run more than any of the others.

Fortunately my expectations of you were much lower than yours for me.

I hope Chris Smith absolutely levels him with a sack on the first play from scrimmage when we play them. He'll probably torch us for 350 yards and 100 rushing, but it will feel good to drill him.

There is no excuse for shoving a coach whether it is a GA or anyone else. That is my opinion and that of pretty much everyone that ever played the game. I dont have three thought of Manziel. If he shoved a coach , then he needs to run until he pukes his guts up and then run some more. A team can't go there.

A former co-worker of mine from Florida, who is a huge Cubs fan, told me "What does the World Series and gay bears have in common?  Neither of them will have cubs."

Atleast he's in good spirits about it.

Guy will still get it done if his line protects at all.  He's an enigma like MJ was, but better.
We'll see starting this next season. A ton of hype to relive up to this coming season and beyond.

I hope Chris Smith absolutely levels him with a sack on the first play from scrimmage when we play them. He'll probably torch us for 350 yards and 100 rushing, but it will feel good to drill him.

I just hope there is a highlight hit on Johnny Football in every single game this upcoming year, its just too bad the aggies dont play against SC next year otherwise clowney could do a remake of that hit on the Michigan running back, the we'll see how well he can scramble the rest of the game.
