I know Hillis has sure hands, but with the speed McFadden is showing, he could do some damage!

After today's game, that argument is out the window for Hillis.
Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.

Hillis has now fumbled at least 4 or 5 times this year. I thought he would be a stud this year.

I think Felix Jones should be returning the punts.  I think he has the better cut-back ability and would make a better returner than McFadden
Thank God for Hogville.  I get my Hog Therapy here everyday.

we need to get the ball into the hands of jones and mcfadden as much as possible

Hillis isn't quite so sure handed after all. I wonder if his dad has any more suggestions for HDN as to where he should play and will HDN be a big enough bone-head to listen.

Hillis cost us the game. That fumble killed us. Anyone besides Hillis and Ill be happy. damn.... :razorback:

Why isn't McFadden playing every position on the field?

I thought Fish was a return specialist.  Why not give him a chance?

That was just one play. We had multiple opportunities today. We controlled the game.

hillis' did not play well but he did not cost us the game.  how about a double coverasge late in the half and they still complete the pass. how about a qb that cannot throw a pass over 5 yards with out the defense putting their hand on it?

Cause you dont put your stud tailback returning punts.  Jones or fish!

Hillis returning punts

Positives
None

Negatives
Fumbles.
Fields balls inside the 10.
Lets too many balls hit the ground.
Absolutely no chance of breaking one.

It's obvious why Nutt has him returning punts! He's an idiot!

this will be a 1998 type season maybe better

I want McFadden doing what he does best.  Run the ball.  Get someone else to return punts.

really, who's returning punts for USC? Might it be Reggie Bush?

I say the punt returner should be determined depending on touches. Meaning, if McFadden is going to get thirty carries a game, then Jones should return punts. If not, then McFadden should be fielding them.

It "might" be Bush, but the guy that handles the bulk of the workload, in the running game, is White. I still like the idea of Washington returning punts. Mcfadden has enough on his shoulders right now. I really don't like the idea of him returning kick-offs either.

Buff

some you guys beat me to it...... but if DMac gets carries like he had today, he shouldn't be returning punts.  Leave that to Jones.  I'm a huge Hillis fan but I think Jones is better suited to return punts, assuming he can catch the ball.  With that same argujment, why don't we let Fish replace McFadden on the kick-return team?  Or at least give Fish a shot, otherwise we won't know what we got in him.

HE RUNS TOO FAST

beachhawg

I agree, and that was exactly what i am getting at.  A big man should not be returning punts.  We need the likes of a Fish or McFadden returning punts, someone with explosive speed!  Hillis is fast, but not quick, if you get what I am leaning towards.
