I saw this mentioned in other threads and I'm just curious where this comes from?  RoJo did a decent job vs. SMS, I don't know why you'd change QB's.  I'm a big Alex Mortenson fan (I had Western Civ with him) but I don't know why you'd start him if RoJo hasn't screwed up.

Who knows where these rumors come from ? When I arrived at practice yesterday some of the fans around the practice field were asking about it. I have no reason to believe it's true but stranger things have happened.

if they want RoJo to actually get worse than get better, then they'll bench him in favor of AM.  Nutt has talked about experience and confidence the whole summer, and like some of you said, there's no reason to bench him.  if we're going to start shuffling QB's in the second week of the season (plus, with USC next week), then it would be obvious that we don't have a QB.
WOOOOO PIG SOOIE

At least Johnson didn't get yanked as early as Robert Reed did.

I guess the biggest difference is neither one of those quarterbacks played against a glorified high school team.

Was he not 12-22 with 3 or 4 dropped balls.  He made one really bad throw and had an interception.  That is no reason to bench someone.  And was it me or was SMS playing the pass and begging us to run it down their throat?  Mortenson is a good backup but does not have the arm to be a starter.  Johnson will be fine.  I think he will impress this week when Vandy loads up the box to stop the run.
