Half the teams in the top 10 are SEC.  Mostly East.

PAHog

The majority of the teams on those lists are there based on a combination of last year (e.g. Auburn) and name (e.g. OU, ND)

Oklahoma and Virginia Tech are too high.

East Coast bias? California beat a Division I - AA team in Sacramento State (41-3) and they jump 3 spots in both poll? Thjere is no east coast bias in that pile of BS! Florida defeated a tougher opponent and did not budge! Good grief, Florida State beat #7 Miami and moved just as far in one poll but only moved ONE spot in the other. What is with all the love for the Cal bears?

Cal is done.  USC is going to roll them.  They might be lucky to break 7 wins.  Longshore was hot passing until he broke his ankle.  Joseph Ayoob went 0 for 6 and was horrible, had to bring the third string in.  They are going to have a rough year.

I am on the Texas Tech bandwagon this weekend and the season.  I hope they pulls up 10 wins.

Gee TT plays 2 1-aa teams and the 119th team in D1, they should look good early.  Still, if they win 10 they will have beaten some really good teams.  Any sched that includes OSU, Ou, TX and A&M is pretty tough.
People ask me what I do in winter when there is no baseball.  I will tell you what I do. I stare out the window, and I wait for spring.

Not as tough as any SEC schedule.  I see one good team on that list.

Any team ever start number 7 one week and drop off the next?  I don't remember seeing that big of a plunge.  But, they don't belong above TCU after losing to them for sure...

WILL CLINTON

Didn't the same thing happen in 2003 when we beat Texas in Austin.  I thought that the next week we were ranked, but Texas was still ranked ahead of us.  It is possible that I am mistaken.

Yeah, Arkansas didn't jump Texas.  TCU will fall off, though.  They'll be 2-0 going into Utah.  They'll be 3-3 or 2-4 after the next 4 games.

Get the love while you can.  Bet this will bump up their recruiting.
