We shot 38.7% from the field (19/49) and 7.7% from behind the line (1/13).

Here's the killer - we were outrebounded 42-23.

One other one: Tennessee had almost twice as many offensive rebounds in one trip down the floor (7) as we did assists for the entire game (4).

Lanny

Someone try to explain to me how this team hasn't quit on Stan.

Like I said, selfish (no assists) and stewpid.  These boys don't know how to spell "team".

Selfishness wasn't the problem tonight.  Missed shots were.  You can throw the ball to someone who is open and if they miss you don't get credit for the assist.

I thought I remembered reading that rebounding was SH's strong suit. Am I wrong in this?

BTW despite what you may think I can be wrong.

Or you can just shoot it yourself after dribbling and miss and that's selfishness.

Asking about whether the team has quit on Heath or not... did anyone notice the way they came out of the timeout with about 3 minutes left?  When Heath tried to get the team to put their hands up together, to break the huddle, only 4 players put their hands up (Jefferson, Hill, Sullivan, and Thomas).  If Heath can't even get them to break a huddle as a team, how the heck do people think he has even the slightest chance of getting them to play as a team.

Would you put down $1,000 against:

* Arkansas winning 20 games next season?
* Winning 10 in the SEC regular season?
* Winning an SECT game?
* Getting into the NCAAT?

Which would you do?

What's sad is I would have taken that bet 6 weeks ago and felt good about my money.  The reality check that's been administered the last 6 weeks or so has been tough.

I have a hard time seeing just how much better we can be next year.   The only hope is Heath can bring in about 2 difference makers to run the team.   Townes will be better and hopefully Thomas but what you see is what you get in Sullivan, Modica, Olu, Jefferson, and Ferguson.
I need to be more like my dog...if you can't fight it, screw it, or eat it, then piss on it.
