Gus to Texas??? New OC

They can't stand Davis.   VY saved him.  He's Mack's bud....so ummm...good luck with opening that spot up.  In fact, I was told in no uncertain terms that Davis is gonna be the OC or Mack will leave.  Now that was about 2 weeks ago, and things change, but this would shock me.

Greg Davis aka Mack Brown's best friend.  If they are in the market for an OC, there has been a monumental change.  One that their fans have wanted and their coach has not.

As someone who follows Texas football very closely, I would be shocked to see this happen. First off, as stated earlier, Mack Brown is very close with his OC... who are just two years removed from winning a national title. If Davis does leave, it will be on his own.

And even if Davis leaves, Gus isn't going to be the man who replaces him. If a move is made, the coach that is brought in will be someone who people outside NWA recongizes, since Texas is a national program, not a regional one.

If Gus does go to Texas, it will be as a QB or WR coach.

The 2006 National Offensive Coordinator of the Year and the Offensive Coordinator for the #1 offense in the NCAA is going to drop that moniker to become a Big 12 QB or WR coach?  On the face of it, that seems quite ludicrous.  Makes about as much sense to me as a DMW press conference.
