Not germain to the question.  The question was who would I rather beat than Texas, so I answered.

And I responded by saying Nutt gave us too many losses to play those teams, not puting you down or anything...just being sarcastic.

Please explain why those teams.  USC i would not mind, but OSU, WV, VTECH, Az st, they are all overrated.  We have no history or rivalry with any of those teams.  I had rather see us play Tulsa in memphis than any of those teams.

Because they are not Texas.  I am just tired of Texas.  The SWC is dead, has been for almost 2 decades.

She made special food, and the whole family watched the game together. Besides, we've only played Texas in the Cotton Bowl ONCE. I'm all for it.

I talked to my brother in Austin, and he said the talk there is Hogs and Horns in the Cotton Bowl. Sweet.

I've been to enough games in Austin and Fayetteville to know that it means a lot to Texas to play Arkansas.  It's a big deal.  If anything, it beats going to a lesser bowl game.  Atmosphere is great when we play Texas and the Cotton Bowl in 2000 was unbelievable.  I'd welcome that in a hearbeat.

Oh all that is usually true, and, if it was not for the home and home I would not care.  If thats the matchup the bowl wants, fine, but we should not lobby for it, imo.

From listening to OUR Arkansas Media, it sounds like the Cotton Bowl folks are in love with us and want us anytime we meet the criteria. Simply because they know Razorback fans will put butts in seats there in Dallas. Whereas Tennessee may not be so well attended. And thats what its all about for the Bowl game folks. Putting butts in seats. At $90 per, Arkansas will fatten that bank roll.
