Some coaches just don't translate in the college game but do very well in the pros.  He could be a very good Pro coach with players that already know most of everything that needs to be learned but need some polish.

Getting back into the Pros would be a good idea for him and since the NFL seems to have a GOBN of it's own should be doable for him.
