What the heck is up with kickers at Arkansas? Tejada and Hocker both started out as money kickers and both end up losing the job? Lets hope that, whoever the new coach is,he brings someone in that is more effective with kickers.

Some days are just like that with kickers. It does get frustrating.

was Hock hurt?

I wondered that at first...then he kicked off! So, wouldn't think so.

The best explanation I've heard ist that success breeds success, and failure breeds failure.  Everyones performance has been affected this year, cept for Hamiltons.

Hocker and Breeding . . . two of the best we have ever had at Arkansas.  Are you kidding me?

hawaiianhogster

JLS said he was thinking last game he would change kickers. Why didn't he do that last game? Isn't he the coach? Had he made the change last week they might have won the game on a field goal. What a joke for a coach he is and was and will always be. He is worse than Lame Kiffin.

The same coach that puts in a brand new deep snapper to go up against Bama.

Hocker is within a few points of being the all-time scoring leader in Arkansas history.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

He pulled Hocker for a "poor" performance, but got to keep his job all year long.

Who will be our punter next year ? Breeding is a senior isn't he ?

It's pretty tough to go from kickoffs to punts , not a lot of kickers can do it ...

It is difficult but I believe Steve Little, Steve Cox and Bruce Lahay performed all kicking duties.

Did anyone else notice our holder only lined up six yards  behind the ball on the first missed field goal?

ballz2thewall

hocker is a fine kicker, he just had a bad moment and it happens to kickers. he's one of the best.  the backup did great. breeding is also top notch.

tejada on the other hand was never a quality player, never even close to the hype and was less than impressive or dependable.

Hocker just had a bad day everybody has them!!! As far as kicking duties he can do it all he did in high school and did a great job of it!!!

What happen to Hocker is the same thing that happened to the Razorback team all year. Lack of accountablity from the coaching staff! Our special team sucked all year long. We still did not find anybody to field a punt all year long.

If the average fan had to listen to JLS every day, they would miss the toilet taking a piss.

You'll perhaps learn that you (coaches) do not hold kickers accountable.

hockers freshman season... i was as excited about him as anyone.  thought we had found a real stud.  not only did he have accuracy, but he had distance.  the kicks exploded off his foot.. perfect trajectory.. perfect draw.. blah blah.

dont know what has happened, but something happened.  this year, hocker was not a good kicker.  in fact, after yesterday, i believe he is just barely over 50% for the year.

kicking is 90 percent mental and he is down on himself .

You're supposed to leave the kicker alone before and during the game. Jonelle was seen telling jokes to Hocker and yelling, "Smile,Smile"!

Coach Petrino or Saban would have told him "You make the kick or you get a front row seat from the sideline." He didn't all of a sudden become a bad kicker. He missed a 20 yard field goal against Auburn on Arkansas first drive of the game.

Hocker and Tejada were the two best high school kickers I had ever seen in person. Figured both to be NFL bound. Maybe Hocker still can.

For real? You really think so?  I very much doubt it.  The most they might say is "we need this one"  or something to that effect.  They would never put a price on it.  Never.

And Brandon Allen with 0:35 after Tyler threw 5 picks and down a gazillion points.
I'm only responsible for what I say, not how you perceive it.

Hocker is money and will kick for us next year, case closed!

Could Allen punt for us next season? He did it in high school and it could really make 4th down interesting.
