I'm in absolute awe of you guys.  I never knew we had so many brave men & women on Hogville.  :razorback:

Two things:
(1) I can't help but notice that so many of you guys who served have high karma and few smites.  That's not an accident.
(2) +1 to each and every one of you.  The poor IT guys here at work are gonna wonder why I reloaded the same page a gazillion times this morning. ;)  Hope I didn't miss someone.

THANK YOU all for your service!

I disagree.  If you went where you were told and did as ordered then you did the same as everyone else.

Never think that.  We all make the choice to serve something bigger than us for pay that does not come close to matching what we could be making.  There is a reason less than 1% choose to serve and much fewer than that stay for the career.  It is not an easy life, but it is one that you chose freely.

My dad was in the USAF from 1966 to 1992, and started out as a Navigator on a C-141.  He was later moved into a C-130 where he spent the bulk of his career, but he Loved his time in the C-141 the most.  He was stationed at Scott AFB somewhere around 1977 to 1980. We were also stationed at Sembach AFB in '86, who knows maybe you all crossed paths at one point.
