I see Devo as water under the bridge.  He's gone.  Instead of wasting time to try and bring him back I'd love it if Coach Cal recruited a couple of Arkansas' best guards coming out of high school.  Train them the way you want your team to run and hopefully in the process recruit some great defensive players to compensate for the loss of Devo.

The reason I say "Arkansas" guards is because I'm kind of tired and worn out with mercenary teams.  I'd like to have a few players who want to play for the Hogs, not just because they received a big NIL deal, but because this is their home and they are proud to play for their home state.

But that's just me.

snoop always been a real one. glad he has the same love for college football as us.

Also it's gonna be hilarious having teams play in the Snoop Dogg bowl. Hopefully we can make it next year, if we make a bowl.

Quote from: redleg on Today at 09:41:05 am2016, 2017, and 2020 Mizzou was not "clearly" the better team. They got the breaks and managed to win, but not because they were that much better. And yes, 2016 was an upset.

A few things that gets me is ... :
1. Arkansas clearly has the better tradition. In almost every metric, the Hogs are a better program historically than Missouri, AND have better facilities.
2. Not sure what the deal is, but I'd like to know who has the voodoo doll of the Hogs when they play in Columbia.
3. This is the one that bugs me the most! ... the fact that this is clearly a forced rivalry by the SEC. While Missouri is really very annoying, I feel that a majority of Razorback fans honestly don't give two s***S about Missouri or a made-up rivalry with them. If Missouri bolted for the Big Ten (which they should) and we never played them again, I would be just fine. And no, I don't like losing to them, but that wouldn't be the major factor in that. The major factor would be, I just don't care about beating Mizzou the way I care about beating Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, or Ole Miss. Sorry, your just not that important to me, and I think most Hog fans feel the same way. Do we want to beat you? Yes...mostly to keep the Tigers fans from running their mouths. But it's just not as important as other games.

Now that Texas is in the SEC and their season finale with A&M is back, I want to see Arkansas play LSU on Thanksgiving weekend again. Move Missouri to earlier in the season. Mizzou needs to renew their actual TRUE rivalry with Kansas and play them at the end of every season from now on!
You read incorrectly.  I said 2016 win for Mizzou was an upset.  That is, Arkansas was a better team.  2017 Mizzou was better.  Mizzou went to a bowl game while Arkansas went 4-8.  In 2020, Mizzou with 5 wins and Arkansas with 3 wins.  So, Mizzou was better.

To your last 3 points.  1) Yes, I would agree historically Arkansas has a better football tradition.  But, since Mizzou entered the SEC, who has been better?  2) Arkansas just cannot win in Columbia.  I think it has to do with Mizzou just being better except for 2016.  3) A forced rivalry or not.  It doesn't matter.  Not sure why people are angry that the SEC is trying to make this a rivalry.

Rick Pitino beats Arkansas, Louisville for former Kentucky transfer portal target

by: Tyler Thompson

QuotePitino had a good morning. The former Kentucky coach just landed a former Kentucky transfer portal target, beating out Louisville and John Calipari/Arkansas in the process.

Utah transfer guard Deivon Smith is headed to St. John's. The 6-foot senior from Decatur, Georgia chose the Red Storm over Washington, West Virginia, Louisville, and Arkansas. Kentucky reached out to Smith when he entered the transfer portal last month but moved on to other backcourt prospects, including Lamont Butler and Kerr Kriisa.

Last year at Utah, Smith averaged 13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game, shooting 46.7% from the field and 40.8% from three. He is the No. 21 player.

St. John's will be his fourth school. Smith started his college career at Mississippi State and transferred to Georgia Tech after his freshman year, playing for the Yellow Jackets for two seasons. He'll have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Jordan Ivy-Curry down to three schools
There's also news on another former transfer portal target. UT San Antonio transfer guard Jordan Ivy-Curry told On3's Joe Tipton this morning he is down to Auburn, UCF, and Wake Forest. The 6'3″ junior will visit each school this week, starting with UCF. Kentucky actually reached out to Ivy-Curry in late March, before John Calipari left for Arkansas, but was never a serious contender.
