Hope all our guys are on same program and coach as Mr. Benny Bomb

Is this a rational thought?

Teaching immense natural talent is a hard gig.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I think it's Coach Vitello.

No, we hired a special coach just for Benintendi this year. The rest of the team has no access to him.

Dr. Starcs

Was it not Chet Steadman?

It was actually Jorn, but I enjoy all of these other responses much more.

This contains no entertainment value but I thought I read somewhere that Vitello was suggesting to AB certain changes, but that he resisted until Jorn told him that if he was studying how to get certain hitters out, he would do this and this and this to AB: that his swing had certain deficiencies.  It seems after that AB wasn't so opposed to making some slight changes (the ones he did) with Vitello's supervision.  I don't recall where I read that, it was a reliable source as I recall, sorry though cant remember where.
Like the erstwhile Clark Kent, my true identity is shielded.  I am an author, Nathan J. Allison is my pen name.

the one I like was Ted Williams.

During the SECT or our regional they talked about it. They said in the off-season Jorn told AB what he was doing wrong and what he needed to do differently. He said his job, as a pitching coach, is to see weaknesses in an opposing batter, and figure out how to exploit it. He approached AB the same way, but told him how to fix it.

Probably as much as anybody it was Ben Herbert. He bulked AB up last summer when he skipped summer league baseball. The extra musscle helped him overcome some of the mistakes he was getting overpowered with before and fouling off and nubbing. The result was line drives and towering drives instead of plunks.

I was going to tell you who it was, it's been in another thread, but when I went to look him up on the website, it didn't have any of the staff listed, just the coaches.

Mike Strouhal?

As a baseball purist, I have great angst that the thread title is "Batting Coach". Please, Please, pretty Please even change it to Hitting Coach!

Or Kent Murphy.  Benintendi learned how to hit dingers from him.
