. . . they are removing the panels off of the north end-zone scoreboard at RRS?  Did they decide to upgrade to a larger version?  IMHO that scoreboard should be taller.  It's too wide for it's height so the aspect angle is horrible.  Wish it was the size of Auburn's scoreboard.  It's a monster!

They took down the big screen so they could complete the concrete structure that goes around it without doing damage to the video board itself. That's my guess anyway

That is the new one. It was operational for the 2017 season.

Taking it down to move it back and lower it? As was stated in another thread, the screen can't be seen by some rows of the EOC and suites. I guess they didn't figure this out when designing it. I guess we'll know if they completely take it down and move it, haha.

You cannot see it from east indoor club in some areas for sure.  TV's were added throughout before last season to make up for that.

I have a friend with seats there. Sat with him at a game several years ago and they had TVs in his east outdoor club section then.

He said indoor, and you never could see the big screen in it's old location from rows 5 and 6 in the EOC. I asked today and have heard that the screen will be basically in the same place but they are changing the set up of the LED mods to enhance the viewing.

Typically, yes. The tour/kitchen intel missions take priority tomorrow though as this is all going according to twist's plan to ultimately take over and monopolize DWRRS concessions.

So, did you buy the two week condo timeshare? I'm keeping my SOC seats, but I'm considering getting 2 NEZ club seats to try it out. With kids in school and their friends, I can always find willing takers on tickets. They have been keeping my email and phone hot on asking if I'm ready to commit.

Nah, I like my seats in section 112. Easy entrance/exit, on the aisle, and good mix of fans there. I have a friend with indoor clubs on the east side that I get in on from time to time. I'm sure at some point I'll test drive some NEZ seats as well. The "tour" was pretty much a timeshare presentation with chips and water, lol.

New panels are being put in to resolve some glitching issues from last year. Should be covered by the warranty so it's a win win.

Nope. They'll be building a huge ramp to get it out. Confirmed that today. Ramp will go up over the south end zone and then swing west and down to Razorback Rd to allow the crain to drive out. That's the reason for the cost overruns. Will take all year to build the ramp so games are moving to WMS for 2018. Another crain will be needed to take the ramp down so this thing could get tricky for an extended period of time.  Meanwhile, the cranes will likely continue to live a migratory life of bliss.

It will be put in a giant ejector seat. The same one used for Bert. Julie Cromer Peoples will hit the button in a room beside the locker room right after construction is done. It will fly over the NEZ into the parking lot into a giant net made of that BB windbreaker and the seat cushion of ESPN2 infamy.

Wally Hall will write a column saying he is not a sexist, but JCP overstepped her bounds and ask why didn't the UA Fayetteville have a man do that job, then go on another boring rant about Grandma's secret biscuit recipe, Mickey Mantle's  personal affront to him and how they don't have that problem in LR, so all the games should be in WMS where they don't need no stinkin' cranes!

Ditto on the aspect ratio comment. It's been out of proportion since they installed the original big screen 15+ years ago.

The structure will have the same finish as the NEZ, or that's what the renderings show. This is a new screen, the old one was moved to the south end.

Probably do like one of those tunnel boring machines. Dig a hole at midfield, drive the crane into it, cover it up with dirt and put the turf back on top.
