... besides the official announcements?

HC - Chad Morris

WR - Justin Stepp
OL - Dustin Fry
TE - Barry Lunney Jr.
Defensive Coordinator & LB - John Chavis?
DL - Steve Caldwell?

Strength and Conditioning Coach - ???Trumain Carroll???

Recruiting Coordinator/Defensive Analyst - Mark Smith

Jared Hunt has a role too but I can't figure it out. He was director of recruiting operations at SMU but Stepp's wife has that role listed on her Twitter. He was previously a special teams and DB coach at the top large High School in Texas. He just joined them last year at SMU.

I imagine we will add some defensive analysts once everything is announced. And I can't find anything on whether or not Mike Giuliani is staying as Defensive Quality Control.

if Kiero was really let go as Asst Strength Coach, I'm going to be pissed

I'm not sure Scott is staying. Buddy Wyatt may end up DL coach.

really stupid move on our part

Not our decision to make. One has to let a new coach make the hires he wants to make and assemble the staff he wants. Only time will tell if it is the right move or not.
If I'm going to cheer players and coaches in victory, I damn sure ought to be man enough to stand with them in defeat.

I'd suggest that you find fewer things to be pissed about. One thing is certain with a coaching change...some coaches whether good or bad, are going to be replaced. It isn't necessarily as negative as you may view it for him or for how it may turn out for him down the road.

This is a great thing for Kiero.  He's an awesome young man and will do a great job for Michigan.  Kiero is a 100% sure deal at Michigan.  I haven't heard for certain about Tank Wright.

I read he was going too, but I agree that Tank isn't 100%.

Thanks. Someone actually did the work! I appreciate having something (even if not 100% perfect it gets us close).

Why would you need inside and outside backers coach when chavis runs a 4-3

Great job HogNTX.  Hopefully, this will settle down all those who were fretting and hitting the panic button.  These things take time and have a natural progression.

Maybe the new coaches looked at film and weren't very impressed with our players speed and strength.  Maybe they want better results.  It's not about personalities.

If I were to guess. I'd say Chavis will probably just be the DC, and skipper over the LBs.

Made the suggested changes and additions.

And yes there are only two coaches listed on the website and not a lot of support staff updated. BUT we know that the offensive staff is here and a lot of the support staff because of their personal twitter accounts etc. if you don't want to try to put the pieces together before they are confirmed then that's you prerogative but a lot of us are trying to get a better picture.

it could be Kiera wanted to work for Coach Herb. I don't think anybody knows for sure. Kiera is the type of young man that will always be an asset, regardless of where or with whom.

Going to Michigan was smart. At his age you need to build a career and that involves moving around and working under different coaching staffs.

Helps with networking and if he is successful it means that he was not just kept on for being a former player here.

I think we have a second secondary coach. Chavis typically coaches his LBers. Just my guess we'll have a CB and a S coach.

I'm hoping not. I'll never forget us rushing for 350 on him when he was at Texas Tech. And I'll never understand why he had Bijon Jackson playing two yards off the line of scrimmage. I know these are not all on him and sort of unfair assessment but they both stand out to me

Supposedly, Tim Skipper & Buddy Wyatt have interviewed, but Skipper has only coached RB/LB to my knowledge. It seems we may have a surprise hire. Could Trooper Taylor be hired to coach safeties? I've always wanted us to hire Larry Porter, and I wish they had a spot for him.

Scott was removed and never kept recruiting like Lunney. But he at one time still had the opportunity to be rehired once the new DC was hired.
