If we can sweep that would be 5 wins over top 25 competition in 1 week

haha I don't think we get to count Georgia as "this week"

Ben Steiger

Well, techinally Sunday counts as the start of the week...

So, using that, we only can get four, using either end of it - this Sunday counts, or last.

But, in a Sunday to Sunday period, including games on those days, we can get five wins.

See?

I understand how long a week is. But since the polls come out on Monday, a "week" in baseball starts on Monday.

If we were to sweep this weekend, Baseball America would write that we went 4-0 this week.

Ben Steiger

In that case, let's go 4-0! I haven't seen Schmidt throw in a while, and I am sure looking forward to seeing him in action! He really should be 6-0, except our hitting's been down.

That MSU-Bama series this weekend will be huge.  Is that game in Starkville or Tuscaloosa

It's in Tuscaloosa. Brooks Dunn vs. Wade LeBlanc on Friday is as good as any matchup in college baseball this year.

Brooks Dunn. I'm guessing he plays for Mississippi St.

"I'd rather lose a game like that than a 5-4 ballgame when somebody walks in the winning run or makes an error" -MSU's former head coach Ron Polk after South Carolina pummeled the Bulldogs 20-3 on 3/23/2007.

Feb. 20, 2009-a new era in MSU Baseball begins.

You don't sound to confident with the "IF" statement.  It we will be find.  Remember it game by game but the final tourney is what counts.  We will be in good shape regardless of what happens with UT.
