cancelled as of now.  Maybe the best site for in depth basketball (all sports)  writing and podcasts.  I will miss the writers insight into both sports and entertainment.  5 Months after the firing of Simmons.  Is Disney to blame for this???

So let's all blame Mickey Mouse. Removing Simmons and Cowherd were not the wisest ideas.

Eh. Disney's management has pretty well coincided with the tanking of ESPN, in a lot of ways; they've overseen the two largest layoffs in ESPN history,  cut off or removed their most traffic-generating contributors, and generally haven't added much of any value to the ESPN product.

The best of Grantland is still on contract with ESPN, so will be diverted elsewhere, but that's like using 5 good patches to shore up a ship with 20 major holes.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

It was developed by Simmons, with Grantland support;  its the kind of property that will likely end up like Jalen & Jacoby moving to different parts of the mothership.
