Yes...steal indeed. If he keeps playing like he has been playing he will be starting before long. Hope he continues to work on his outside shot.

Gotta admit I was concerned about Bobby needing to fine tune his game before going to the NBA. He has proved me wrong and I couldn't be happier about it!  ;D
I spent most of my life drankin', gamblin', and chasing women, the rest I just wasted.

His work ethic has bridged that gap between skill and experience. He is simply out working people. When he gets the feel for the game...man....going to be good.

This may eventually pay some dividends in recruiting. Go Bobby go!  :razorback: :razorback: :razorback:

You'd think Joe Johnson being the 2nd highest paid NBA player at $24.9 mil ($100k behind Kobe) for the 2015-16 season would be paying dividends. Nope.

could be part of the reason Portis came to Arkansas

JJ's head coach has been gone a long time now. Portis is important because he is MA's first here as HC

Good to hear this about Mr. Portis. Great Hog. I was hoping he'd stay another year but sure looks like he made the right choice. Might have to start watching some NBA games--especially the Bulls.
Hoping the Hogs basketball fortunes change for the better this season.

The skill has always been there.   People spent all last year telling people who watch the NBA game that Portis was not ready, when those who paid attention realized he would be fine as a pro.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

It really explains how far the basketball program dropped after Nolan. Besides Joe and recently Pat Beverly there hasn't been any notable players in the NBA from the University of Arkansas.

I believe the trend is changing under MA!!!! If you come to Arkansas you will develop and get to the league. I think that's a huge statement to make to recruits in the future. I hope the best for Bobby.

Totally agree with where you are coming from. But don't forget Ronnie had some very good years as well.

Can we count Al Jefferson? Lol

Sonny Weems has had a nice little time in the league as well.

Yeah, he is a very good player and was making a name for himself until he went to Oversea. Interested to see his impact after his time away from the NBA.

I saw Weems play at the Pepsi center in a pre-season game. He still has hops

Jannero Pargo has essentially been in the NBA since the year Nolan left.

May not be a high profile guy, but 13 years in the league is nothing to sneeze at, really.
