Is homecoming even a big deal for the players?  To me sr day is a bigger distraction.  Players are out of their pregame routine.

Good point.  It's not like high school were (at some places) the players escort the girls on the field.

Maybe we could talk Bama into doing that though.  We will need all the help we can get.

Oh, it's just the stigma that comes with being someone's homecoming opponent, you know, get ready for the party! I wasn't implying anything about their players, more to their administration.

How come I'm totally NOT surprised at this. Yep, obviously 'Bama figures it's particularly important to send all the alums home with a victory.

Good. Ruining their homecoming will make it even sweeter.  :razorback:

If Bama wants Homecoming in October, it's either the Hogs on the 14th or Tennessee on the 21st. They have LSU on Nov. 4. FWIW

Yeah, we don't always choose well. Last year it was OM, I realize it's scheduling and marketing these days, I just don't like being theirs.

Gladstonesmoans

I bet our players will be so upset that we will destroy those dudes!

Why wouldn't we be.. hate to say it, but when was the last time we beat Alabama anyway?  Too long ago I can't even remember when it was.

We are going to beat em guys. I think we still win 7 games even but Bama is one of them.

It kinda was. I've graduated from high school, finished college, got married and had a kid....all since we beat bama last
That's right, you don't want to be the man to replace the man.  You want to be the man to replace Rory Segrest.

Razorbackers

FOLKS.

Arkansas: 10-0 (1.000)
Mississippi State: 9-1 (.900)
Ole Miss: 8-2 (.800)
Texas A&M: 4-1 (.800)
LSU: 8-3 (.727)
Auburn: 7-3 (.700)

Saban has made the SEC west his b*tch. I would say that when you look at Alabama's schedule, us and Tennessee are the only home games in October. They aren't going to schedule a rivalry game for HC, so we're it.

Chill out. Jeez.

TUSKtimes

Frankly, I wish we were playing 10essee for HC. They wanted to play us twice last season and I truly regret they couldn't beat Vandy to get that done.

And Tennessee and Florida from the East
Tennessee: 10-0
Florida: 5-1

You can't blame them.  Aside from Fresno St and possibly Colorado St. we're the easiest Div 1 game on their home schedule.

no, they are on bama's schedule. Second to last game of the year. The week before they play Auburn.
This is fun, isn't it.

Calling All Hogs

In before someone gives the annual prediction that we will be undefeated going into Bama and GameDay will be at Bama to cover this game where we finally break Bama's winning streak.

ah yes, just like the swallows returning to Capistrano, the annual prediction of a Gameday appearance for a Bama beat down. The fabric of life is woven with such traditions.

That is just sad.  Everyone in the West has beat bama with Saban at the helm other than us.

statistically speaking, this just means we are due

CabotHog87

So I guess you could now replace Auburn with us and The Bear with Saban in the "You Don't Know Bo" 30 for 30...

"Arkansas hasn't beaten Alabama in 10 years, and they never will..."

I think we will have a good shot if our offense is clicking and our defense shows us something. The offense proved it could move the ball last year and with a year of experience under Austin's belt, I think we could do it. In my opinion it boils down to the defense and special teams for us.

Should have taken advantage of Saban's first year at Bama like MSU, Auburn, and LSU did.

Information is critical to intelligent conversation. If you look at their schedule, they only had 2 games to choose from. Us, or a rivalry. We really were their only option. You can try to spin that into the drama of us being an fcs opponent, but it fails once someone actually looks a little deeper than your emotional collapse.

0 for Saban ....and none of em were really close.

Not how I remember it. 2010 was close enough with Mallet and company. And of course, 2014, when we looked like we forgot you guys were on our schedule. 14 to 13 is pretty close.

Heh, those were some good games. We had our opportunities to slay the beast but we just couldn't get that killing blow to hit the mark. Code Red amplifies the bad and diminishes the good when it comes to razorback football. It is his way of rebelling against CBB being our coach.
