You are putting Florida in with the Hogs whom they handled in BWA, A&M and their 66 turnovers in 3 SEC games and SC?

Yep, we look to be on par with the Pac 12.  One of the SEC's issues is having 14 members AND so many of them are mediocre to bad relative to other power conferences.  A good team can run up a win total in this conf just beating the bottom 8-10 teams.  The ACC and B1G have the number of teams but are deeper in good teams.  The Big 12 and Big East benefit from being smaller conferences and thus less dead weight and "easy" wins for its upper tier teams.  Less opportunity to have off nights and more of a chance to be exposed in the ACC, B1G, Big 12 and Big East than what the SEC will do.

Mid major conferences have had some good teams.  With the new Big East taking teams like Creighton and Butler out of those mid majors, the mid majors aren't what they were.

We aren't in 1995.  We can see where the SEC fits in the big picture and what it is.

Parity has not just happened. You can go back to the 90s, 80s and list the mid and low major conference teams who have risen up. It isn't some new phenomena.

I find the view of some of our fans just the opposite in some cases.  For example, you will find comments leading into the season about what SFA and Austin Peay have done recently pitching them as strong non conf opp for this season as if they were going to be the same teams as their recent ones.

Florida may be starting to distance itself to create a 1B tier, but there are clearly a number of NCAA tournament quality teams, with a few others who can reasonably challenge for bids.

Parity in the truest sense, has been a development of the last decade or so; the faring of lower seeded teams in the tournament over the last 10 years is much stronger than it was in any ten year period prior,  as is the performance of non-major conference teams with higher seedings.

On the whole, we still undersell our schedule-- a good part of the improvement of which should be traced to league-wide efforts to erase RPI black hole games---  and treat anything less than 30 wins as abject failure in the program.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Yes we dropped the SWAC games.

No need to exaggerate on the win total reaction which this comment is a gross exaggeration.

No undersell.  We could end up with 22 or more reg season wins and the best RPI win being over bubblicious Houston.

Could, but are unlikely to-- if this team can only squeeze 10 more out of the remaining 17, they'll have earned their spot at home, come tournament time.

And really, it isn't.  They're ready to fire Mike Anderson a year and a half after 27-9 with a tournament victory.  That is *insane* given the last 15 years of our program.

10-6 in these last 15 SEC +Ok St games would be...well I don't want the blowback from saying it.  Tough to find 6 losses unless we lose every near toss up road matchup - only toss ups due to location of game except Fl and maybe SC.

This is trending very similar to the 2014-15 season.

I don't like the SC matchup or Florida on the road, but there should be 12 or so very winnable games left, unless there's an injury to Moses or an implosion.     We should be pretty pleased with the state of our program if we repeat 2014-2015.

Agree on SC and UF.  Martin gives Anderson teams fits.

I honestly think talent wasn't the issue this time. I believe game plan and luck would have made a difference. Lots of luck.

There's still a huge, huge talent gap.   We're getting better players, and it shows, but we're not rolling a Top 25 recruit off the bench with 5 minutes to play, for their first action.

Without going postal, you expected and are good with a 26 point blowout because "it's Kentucky"?

Missed the line by 9.  Could have been worse, like 40....

If you've got a dumba** son, do you love him any less?  no.  you just overlook his faults b/c you love him.  At least that's what my dad does.
