Better run it by Jayco first.

Purdue plays Louisville the first game next year. Brother Paul Petrino, hc at Idaho, being considered for wku job.

hog.goblin

Have to admit, WKU to Purdue almost seems like a lateral move.

ur

Agree. Good move for him though. P5 conf in a weak west div. Plus 6yr $20 million deal makes it nice.

ChicoHog

I thoght that was PJ Fleck's job but maybe he is headed to Oregon.  also I'm sure he wants to coach in the Cotton Bowl but that will be difficult if he decides to leave WMU.

husker71

link if possible to Paul Petrino to WKU   I haVE A good friend there and it will kill him lol

One of the worst over the last 15 years.  Who is the last coach to move up from there?  It may not be a career killer, but it can certainly change a coaches trajectory.

What's up with Fleck?

Rowing that boat to Arlington. It's going to be hard when he figures out there isn't a river to there.

longpig

A lot happening today.  Aranda got a huge bump and an odd noncompete.

That's a head scratcher.  Taggart kind of fell off the radar since taking the USF job.   Be interesting to hear why they picked him over Mullen.

He showed up just in time for USF to go from the Big East (power 6) to the American (group of 5). He's done well they are just off the media radar.

What's interesting is he is in the mold of Harbaugh.  That's certainly not Oregon football from the last 15 years.

He could do well if given a year to recruit and s year to install the system.  Oregon may not be that patient.

I think he's above Mason at Vandy but well below Harbaugh at Michigan.

If I was them I would have jumped on Mullen.  Surely he was interested.

According to "sources" Mullen was the #2 choice.

It obviously means allot, wish that was the Hogs record.

18-8 last 26 games fwiw.  Yeh, I know he got recruiting back up and had a good final season at USF.   Why do you think his accomplishments there didn't garner much attention like at WKU?

Saw that Clay Jennings is out at Texas.  Who wants him back?

Looks like PJ will stay at WMU.  Good for them.  He keeps winning and other jobs will open up next year.

Purdue has a new A.D. that wants the program to be better, from my understanding. I didn't know this until recently but Purdue did have some 8 win seasons under Tiller. It has been bad recently but I think Brohm might turn it around and make them competitive.

Helped tillar to have Drew Brees at QB

ChicoHog

Tiller was one of the earlier guys to throw it around 50 or 60 times a game ala Mike Leach.  He came from Wyoming I believe to Purdue and did a pretty good job there even getting them to the Rose Bowl one year.

True, but 10 winning seasons out of 12 and an overall winning record in conference play.  At Purdue...
