LITTLE ROCK – Trojan head basketball coach Wes Flanigan has announced three additions to the Little Rock program during the fall early signing period. Junior college transfer Melkisedek Moreaux and high school seniors Kalin Bennett and Traylynn Spencer comprise the first pieces of Flanigan's 2018-19 recruiting class.

The three signees will bring both height and athleticism to the Trojan roster as all three measure in at 6-6 and taller with Flanigan using the word "versatile" to describe this class. All three can play multiple positions and will add new elements to the Little Rock roster once they join the program in 2018.

KALIN BENNETT
6-10 | 255 | Freshman
Little Rock, Ark. (Little Rock Christian Academy)

Flanigan received a major hometown commitment from Kalin Bennett, a 6-10, 255-lb. forward from Little Rock Christian Academy. Ranked the number 16 prospect in the state by Arkansas Basketball, Bennett helped lead the Warriors to a 13-13 mark in 2016-17 and will lead a Little Rock Christian team poised to be one of the best in the state at the 5A level in 2017-18.

"Kalin committed to the Trojans back in 2016 and is excited to be a part of Our City and Our Team," said Flanigan. "He plays for an outstanding coach in Clarence Finley and has the potential to dominate in the paint. He has shown tremendous improvement over the years and his best is yet to come. A quality young man, Kalin adds depth and size up front, which is extremely valuable in college basketball. We look forward to helping him develop his game and feel he will become an outstanding Sun Belt player."

MELKISEDEK MOREAUX
6-6 | 210 | Junior
Hamburg, Germany (Preston's College/Northeast Community College)

The Trojans will add some junior college experience in Melkisedek Moreaux, a 6-6, 210-lb. forward from Hamburg, Germany, that is currently playing for Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Nebraska. Moreaux averaged 9.1 points and 7.3 rebounds in 26 games last season for the Hawks, who posted a 21-8 overall record. During his prep career, Moreaux played for Preston's College in Preston, England, leading the club to the Academy Basketball League championship with an undefeated season.

"Melki has the ability and experience to make an immediate impact on our program," Flanigan said. "His athleticism, length and ability to play multiple positions will be an asset as we continue to build a championship program. He has a unique background, growing up in Germany and playing high school ball in England. Melki is having an outstanding career as a junior college player in a top notch program and he has the leadership qualities we are looking for in an upper classman. Trojan fans will love Melki's energy and ability on the court and we're excited to welcome him to the Little Rock family."

TRAYLYNN SPENCER
6-8 | 175 | Freshman
Fort Worth, Texas (O.D. Wyatt H.S.)

Traylynn Spencer is a 6-8, 175-lb. versatile player, possessing the ability to play multiple positions on the floor. The Fort Worth native averaged 10.1 points, 9.2 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per game as a junior at O.D. Wyatt High School, leading the Chaparrals to a 22-9 record in 2016-17 and a playoff appearance. A two-time District 7-5A selection, Spencer was a first team honoree as a junior, being named the district's Defensive MVP.

"Traylynn is a versatile player with the ability to score in the post, off the bounce and from the perimeter," Flanigan said. "He has the ability to play multiple positions on the floor. Adding someone with his skill set and length is always a positive for a program. We are looking forward to being part of Traylynn's development as a player and as a young man over the next four years. We are very fortunate to be able to add a player of his caliber to our team.

Little Rock opens its 2017-18 schedule Saturday when the Trojans host Ouachita Baptist in the season opener. Tip-off against the Tigers is set for 3 p.m. at the Jack Stephens Center.

After today's game, it looks like he needs to add about ten more that can play.
