After fall camp I think we'll see this RB 3-Deep:

1) RWIII
2) Mitchell
3) Whaley

Either Mitchell and RWIII will be the #1 but expect it will start like that.

I,only got to watch part of the second half, so didn't get to see Williams, but Mitchell looked decent.  I could see him becoming a very good option for us given time.

Arthur pigby sellers.

Anyone know how long Walker is out?  If healthy I assume he would be 1a or 1b coming into the fall.

Rawleigh is still wearing a green jersey. I just got that feeling he's gonna be the man come September.

No it'll be

1b) RWIII
2) Mitchell
3)Whaley

Whaley will quickly move up that list as the season goes.

Literally?  Or just because they couldn't touch him?  Like I said, he wasn't playing by the time I had enough signal to watch.

You mean you "think it will be".

I think Whaley will end the season as 1B with RWIII as 1A.

Walker has to prove that he can gain the yardage. He's had issues in the past with shoestring tackles at the LOS. Historically he hasn't been a #1 caliber tailback.

Yep. Like Bo Jackson in Techmo Bowl.

Not impressed. Whaley and Hammonds you're up.

Großer Kriegschwein

Sprinkle impressed me just with his physique. Dude may be the best TE in football this year. Greenlaw looked real good too, LBs will be improved this year.

I got a hunch that Hammonds will redshirt.

If Whaley isn't 1b behind Williams they miss evaluated him

He was signed to come in and start.

Williams looked beastly by the eye test.

Looking forward to seeing Whaley as well, hope he's special because after RWIII it does seem rather unimpressive, especially without Walker in there.

Whaley should be #1 by midseason.

I also liked what Evans did too.

Carl Lazlo

Only got to watch part of the first half.  In that time I could see some progression in Evans .  He ran with good pad level and looks like he's put on some good lower body weight. Honestly don't see a huge difference in him and RWIII style wise.

Ramboar

It will be Whaley and Williams splitting carries and Walker in short yardage. I can almost guarantee this. Mitchell will see a couple carries a game.

He said almost..........

Exactly,

You can't "almost" guarantee anything. You either guarantee it or not. Guarantee is the word I have a problem with.

I agree.  He looks like he could be a consistent 3-4 yard gainer.  Other than RWIII and a time or two from DuWop I was concerned about the RB position.  The OL looked fine to me.  Austin made some incredible throws.

Overall I was not wowed by anyone, any team, any unit.  7 wins hopefully.  Caveat:  it was a spring scrimmage with limited playbook, green jerseys and we have some talent coming in.

The reason it's "almost" is because of injury. I can guarantee that Whaley and Williams will split carries, Walker short yardage, sprinkled in with some Mitchell.(injury permitting)
Carries per game will look similar to this.
Williams 12-15
Whaley 12-15
Walker 5-7
Mitchell 1-5

This being average to run/pass balance. Could be more or less depending on what is more effective on the defense the Hogs are lining up against. :razorback:

Duwop will need carries to make the defense think he will run with it, then you'll see the HB pass.  Seemed like CBB ran that play once a game with JWill 2 years ago.

nwahogfan1

1A. Williams
1B  Walker
1C  Whaley.
2.  Duwop.

The 3 Ws will all get pretty equal carries I think.   Depending on the game the hot Back will get the most carries.    Also I don't know how long it will take Whaley to adjust so he might be our lead back by week 3.  I just don't know so until we know I am going to say all 3 will get equal rep's.

rzrbackramsfan

I'm thinking hammonds won't redshirt and will get carries, possibly being our most dynamic back.
