Yep, that's a fully grown par 3.  It'll be fun to see the club choices on tv for this one.  Don't know if it's downhill or not but it's 288 none the less.   Long ways.
I need to be more like my dog...if you can't fight it, screw it, or eat it, then piss on it.

during their practice rounds, it was playing into the wind also.
the tees can be scooted up however.  288 is the max.

I'm sure we'll see some guys pull out driver.  Some of the shorter hitters like funk won't be able to get there with any thing less.

Did anyone hear Geoff Ogilvy on Jim Rome last week?  He said that during his practice round he hit 3 wood as hard as he could and that he wasn't the longest on tour by any means but he is one of the longer hitters.  He also said it was one of the bigger greens and it wasn't nearly as sloped as most of the others.  But I guess there is gonna be a lot of players who will have to hit the ole big stick if they want a shot at it in 2.

I have played 21 holes of golf this week.  Rained out of a round after 12.  I have hit exactly three drives that far and that was good for me.  I want no part of a 288 yard par three.

Actually, it's my understanding that with the tees moved back to the tip with a back pin placement, we could see the hole measure 300yds.

It would take me three just to get on the green.
The first thing I heard today was that he grew up on a pig farm. That's quite a start in my book. And my last memory was watching him hang 70 on Nebraska. Just those two facts are enough (for me to like him). Then, I hear that he's out of the Hayden Fry-Bill Snyder-Barry Alvarez coaching tree. Oh, that's enough for me to like a lot. Then, I hear he's got a 27-year-old wife. Okay, we can stop. I like him.

It would be driver, lob wedge (strong) for me and hopefully the putter is working for a bogey!!! ::)  (assuming a two putt possibility)
Have you ever listened to someone  or read what they put into thoughts and wondered...."who ties your shoelaces for you?"
