Driving the pitch count up is great. It is just good strategy up to the point that you stand there and allow teams to lob a strike down the middle with no worry about it being hit. A no stress pitch does not add much to the pitch count in terms of fatigue. We need to hit enough early to make the pitcher compete on every pitch.
