Hoping the Hogs basketball fortunes change for the better this season.

Read some UK perspectives last night.  To say the least, they have a different view of the fouls called and not and how we play.
Quote from: MaconBacon on March 22, 2018, 10:30:04 amWe had a good run in the 90's and one NC and now the whole state still laments that we are a top seed program and have kids standing in line to come to good ole Arkansas.  We're just a flash in the pan boys.

The Boar War

Aside from the Barford incident I don't remember seeing many hard fouls (certainly nothing dirty).  If we're going to be accused of bullying I guess we should've broken a nose.

What if he chews a Poptart into the shape of two men holding hands - or worse?

What is going on here? What is the rest of this story?

You don't remember John Chaney of Temple nearly killing Cal?     I wish he had.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I was not paying much attention to college basketball at that time. That is hilarious. We need to hire that guy.

I'd lay 1-5 that John Chaney, back in '94 when the incident took place, would mop the floor with that pretty boy MF. Anyone remember what made the usually classy and fairly mild-mannered Chaney so PO'd at Calipari ?  It was because Cal was, in the words of Chaney, "sending in goons to try and hurt my best players"...and as mad as he was somehow I get the feeling that Chaney was flat out telling it "like it was".

Chaney publicly was much like Nolan was privately.

Anyone who thought that game last night was rough basketball - needs to watch some old basketball games from a few decades ago. Especially paying attention to the Big East.
Inside every "older" person is a younger person wondering what the hell happened?

Yes. I've seen Jr high games much rougher.

He is likely right when his players daddys are the referees.  Calamari is so full of crap, surely he doesn't even believe half the stuff that spews out of his mouth.  The game last night it looked that the refs were intent on Macon and especially Barford were not going to be allowed to influence the outcome.  All that said, I don't think we had the horses to hang with them, but it would be nice to get an even chance.

If there is ONE time I wish they would have let someone get at another that was it. Chaney would have beat him to a pulp.
If I'm going to cheer players and coaches in victory, I damn sure ought to be man enough to stand with them in defeat.

Too bad Kentucky doesn't come to Arkansas this year..if they did, have the entire crowd issued cut outs like this:

Maybe next year!!!

This article is hilarious. It sounds like it was written by a thirteen year old school girl. If that game "threatened to become violent", then I'll be a monkey's uncle.

Pretty sweet.  These people are actually crying because the Hogs actually beat their coddled a***s sometimes.  When the Hogs are any good at all, the Wildp****s pretty much get beat by them half the time.

UK 29 wins Arkansas 11 wins... You are obviously a Half Full kind of guy.... A more interesting stat would be UK football has a winning record vs the hogs... 4 - 3.

Bully em' up! Cal and his crew are the real bullies of MBB, poaching recruits, destroying the game for the benefit of the NBA. These blue bloods have everything handed to em'. Everyone else should give them their best shots and make them feel what it's like to be an underdog. Half of basketball is physicality and trash talk. The kids at slimeball U want an easy path to the NBA, well college teams aren't just going to give them that. Boo hoo.
