Uploading My Own Picture?

I know this is probably been covered someplace else, but I'm trying to upload my own picture in my profile and it is not uploading.  It is on my C: drive and that's where I'm trying to upload it from.  Any suggestions?

Profie and use the browse feature to upload pics

Thanks for the help, but that is the problem.  After I click Browse & select the picture, the link shows up in the box just like it should, then I go the bottom and hit "Change Profile."  It seems to go through, but when the page reloads the box is empty and the picture hasn't uploaded.  The picture is 247kb, is that too big?
Sorry to be a pain, but I just can't figure out the problem.

Nevermind,
The problem was that I was using Fiirefox instead of Internet Explorer and the images that I was uploading just weren't showing up to me.  My fault, thanks for the help.
