Here's an interesting stat on CBB...he has never lost when leading at the end of the second half.

That is pretty impressive.  We should not let him go!!!!!!

I neglected to mention that all of Brets football games he won as a HC have started out being 60 minutes of regulation timeframes.  All were intended to be 4 quarter affairs and all were planned for 2 halves.  AND in every game, Brets teams have played both their offensive and defensive units.  One odd stat is that more of these games were won in the States of Wisconsin and Arkansas than any other state.  Also, another oddity is that Bret has had only 2 ADs in his HC career.  One knew well how to handle the football program and one didn't have a clue.

I would like to see what he and the staff can do with these freshmen next year.  We have some good talent.   I don't think that getting rid of our coach and starting over is much of a solution right now.  I am not so sure that magic coach is out there that will come to Arkansas and have us playing for national championships every year.  Arkansas is a tough place to win.

Under Bielema,  we have had some good wins against LSU,  Ole Miss,  Auburn,  Miss State, Tennessee,  Texas,  Texas Tech, TCU, Missouri,  Kansas State and so forth.  I would like to see him and the staff further develop the talent we have.
Bret, you need to spend more time focusing on the game and less time on Hogville, but thanks for chipping in on your own behalf.

And then we are hanging an SEC WEST Champion banner.

I hope he stays in the locker room and doesn't come back after half-time. It's not like he does anything out there anyway.

To do that you have to be able to pick up the rail with the honoree attached.

That ain't happening.

You'd like to see what he can do with the freshman next year? Yeah, we thought that three years ago with those freshman - he hasn't done much with them.

If not then, then how could he now?

He was a bad call away from beating the team that won the national championship in the NCAA tourney.  You fire him after that?

Isn't doing any better?  You obviously have not paid much attention to the basketball program then the last 2 years.  Bielema has gotten worse since peaking at year 3. Now he is at year 5 and about to be 2-5.  Please do not compare the 2 when one is going down and the other is going up.  The basketball team is doing a lot better after being a bad team for about 5 years before Anderson showed up.  Now he has gone to the NCAA tournament 2 times in the last 3 years and is looking to have a decent team returning to make it back to back to the NCAA tournament.

I don't want Bielema to stay anywhere in Arkansas, he needs to pack up and be escorted across the state line and told that if he ever comes back he will be arrested for impersonating a football coach.

You mean you are gonna come off in here and defend Bret and his wreck of a program by calling for Mike to be fired? Don't want to make this a jumpball post but Mike took over a way worse situation. Mike is trending upward, Mike doesn't run his mouth. Mike is known to us and is like family. Bret hasn't earned that. Not even close.

Me thinks you have some sort of agenda against Mike.

I think Bret is a good guy and runs a clean program. His wife seems nice and likes Arkansas. ....

OK I have run out of nice things to say. But the fact that I like him personally means I don't want to burn him at the stake, which is how I felt about Nutt. I will be happy with a mutual parting of the ways.

Maybe the SEC is just not for him and he could do well again in the Big 10 or Sun Belt. Someone might give him a chance.

Bert has been told how to do everything his entire career and we are now seeing we hired a yes man who has no answers or solutions on his own.

He has worked for one of the greatest coaches in college football history in Bill Snyder, he played for Hayden Fry and also worked with Barry Alvarez. The guy knows what he is doing and how to run a program. Last time I checked we have gone to three straight bowls and this season is not over.

Hahaha bowls these days are like participation trophies for college football teams.

Just because you go to some crap bowl that no one even things about doesn't mean you've arrived or even done anything noteworthy. Six wins gets you a bowl. Is that your barometer for success, going to a nothing bowl to play another irrelevant team?

If so you're totally correct in your love affair with Bert. And who he's been associated with is completely irrelevant since he's obviously not learned much from any of them given his performance, or lack thereof, when no longer under their protective wings.

Next year will be our easiest schedule since 2011. QB will now have atleast two games starting experience and Oline replaces one player (of course that one player is the only guy we have that can play)

OOC games: Bottom three teams are way more talented than the bottom three we faced this year. Tulsa is a team that can very easily upset us and wind if we aren't careful. I.e. If we played them this week, I would not bet on Arkansas winning. Pre-season, there was a strong argument that playing @CSU would be about as tough of a game as home vs TCU. Turns out TCU was a lot better than most people expected this year. So, that game should be a lot easier for us.

Auburn is a team we've been about 50/50 with over the past decade. So, home vs away can be the difference between a win and a loss. That game being an away game for us next year makes next years tougher.

Texas A&M's location is the same. So, the two schedules are even there.

Getting Bama at home doesn't improve our schedule at all.

OM at home is an improvement for the 2018 schedule at that is often a game that can go either way.

Vandy at home is an improvement over @SC, but not a huge one. SC and Vandy will likely finish similarly in the west. I'm really glad we didn't play Vandy this year because at least the national media has an inflated opinion of SC despite the facts.

BYE: It's a little bit late in the season, but ic certainly an improvement over having it after just two weeks.

LSU at home doesn't really change much. As a rivalry game, the series is fairly close over the past decade home or away. But definitely a small improvement.

@MSU is a huge increase in difficulty. Playing in Starksville is something where even our best teams can lose, even if we have a decided talent advantage.

@Missouri is also a significant disadvantage that could easily swing the game away from us.

So, the worst three OOC games are definitely harder, but so long as we don't swing and miss on the new hire whoever it will be, that harder should be negligible given the talent on this team. However, nobody outside of TCU on our schedule this year would have even beaten the 2012 team, while if that or 2013 happens again next year, CSU and Tulsa could easily beat us in such a scenario. However, factoring in the hindsight of what TCU has done this season, the OOC gets significantly easier next year compared to this year. Other than that, the OM game is the only conference game that is significantly improved from this year to next. Playing Vandy at home instead of SC is a small boost, LSU at home is a smaller boost, and Bama at home is no boost at all. MSU, Mizz, and Auburn on the road are all massively more difficult games.

In short, this year, the games we weren't going to win anyways were put in the most difficult position where the outcome would change anyways and the games we had the best chance at winning were put in the most favorable position to do so. Next season, the games we aren't going to win anyways are given the more favorable conditions while the games we have a chance to win are put in the most difficult positions to do so.

The OL is replacing 3 players in Ragnow, Raulerson, and Ramirez all of whom have started for us and at the very least have been in the rotation this year.
