Maybe he means Kadary Richmond.  As I said, it's hard to tell.  It's cool.  I was just confused.

When there are 9 names listed and only 1 name matches a current commit it's probably safe to say that is not who is being referenced. Especially so because Billy Richmond does not play point guard.

Simple and to the point.  I like.

As the transfer portal irons out I'm seeing a trend.  I think Arkansas will have some speed and athletic ability.  I don't know, however, how durable this team will be.  In Sam's first 3 years Arkansas was built on the run-first power front model.  Last year was a transition at the very least.

Now with a change in QB and OC we should see pros and cons.  One of the pros is under Petrino the play designs may favor our players will definitely be less predictable.  That hopefully will reduce some injuries and increase our scoring capabilities.

On the other hand, the cons eliminate the days of smashing the ball up the middle with the run game.  We don't have the depth and its simply not what Petrino brings to the table in terms of offense and play calls.

So I will say if we can avoid a MAJOR injury bug...we could look alright and win some games.  The biggest enemy I fear will be injuries.  I am  hopeful Petrino's play calling will help in allot of ways, but time will tell.  Depth seems to be the commodity in this era of the transfer portal and NIL that not many teams have anymore.

Quote from: onebadrubi on Today at 06:35:08 amIf we get to 21 wins we are back in the discussion for number 1 overall seed in my opinion.

20 keeps us very comfortable top 8 seed.  18 or less and we are seriously sweating top 8, not factoring any SECT

I expect we will end up 20-10, but what happens at 19-11?  Not sure we get to host and it may come down to us and MSU in that scenario.  We need to win that series this weekend because they get Missouri next weekend.

Quote from: Mike_e on Yesterday at 01:13:16 pmIt will be interesting to see if after the 2Big start paying players directly if ATR (All The Rest) will wise up and put a two season clause into their player contracts.

Things will settle out but it will seem alien for a while.
Yes. Once they're paid by the schools they will sign contracts. There will be negotiations and no compete clauses, probably severance pay for injuries, front end bonuses that will have to be paid back if the player doesn't complete the contract.  High school players will be getting stalked by agents. It's going to be a business.
Like the article said, coaching salaries will probably take a hit.

The schools and coaches have no one to blame but themselves. They taught the players everything they needed to know about greed and chasing the dollar.

Quote from: thebignasty on Today at 09:01:54 amI'm a little surprised Kentucky jumped us, but I get it, they just beat us head to head and their cans would be squalling if they jumped to one spot behind us in the polls lol.

Looking at the season as a whole, they still have a home series loss to Kennesaw State and just lost a road series to South Carolina who we beat on the road just a couple of weeks ago.
