We may owe Mississippi an apology.  What took some of us a decade to realize, some of them are getting it after 4 games.  Maybe they ARE smarter than us.

Disagree, horrible play calling and I blame those penalities on the coaches. We weren't mentally prepared last night and made more mistakes than u can sake a stick at. The vandy coaches OUT COACHED us last night. Except for the defense, we weren't even a good Jr high team. We had the middle of the field opened ALL night and refuse to pass there. What's wrong with a RB or TE running down the middle? Horrible play calling. And that IS coaching.

Sound familiar?

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

Ole Miss fans are still largely defending him even some who did not like the hire, blaming players.  Be interesting to see how long it takes them to catch on.  May take another recruiting season, maybe 2.

I tried to tell them that "simplifying the offense" meant that he was taking back the play calling from Austin.  In one ear and out the other.  Oh well.

I posted here after the La-Monroe game that in two games, Arkansas had thrown more passes over the middle and completed more passes over the middle in two games than they did in all games in the previous 10 years combined. Nutt won't do it and won't let it be done. He doesn't know how and wants no part of it even if it means losing. Can't wait for majority of OM fans to see the Nutter for who he really is.

Loved this quote by a Rebs poster...

"We whipped Vandy all night long and in crunch time.......it was a Chinese fire drill."

Sound familiar to anyone?

I've seen that many times. I coined it a "keystone cops routine" though. It is when Nutt's team scores and all the coaching staff runs to that end of the field along the sideline bouncing off each other, yelling, hitting players, etc as if they've scored for the first time in their coaching careers. It's comical to watch. Danny, Markuson and Shibest were really good at doing keystone cops routine.

Isn't that sad?  Took me 8 years.  HIM was the first one I remember that was completely in the FIRE NUTT camp in the 5th or 6th year.  And at the time I thought he was an idiot for it!

They are getting a little taste of what we've dealt with for 10 years.

I feel sorry for them....

NOT!

The only positive I see for them is they've fired better coaches in fewer years than we did in the last 10.

Don't cry for the old boy on a crutch.  They thought TCTWF was an ungrade.

Look at their history.  They don't hang on to bad coaches long.  Real question is why they hire them to begin with.  But in their defense, they won't need to take a 10 year look.

Thanks, FRANK!

Doesn't Nutt have a 2 year pass though?
I hope so.
He is the only coach making a multi-million dollar salary that would stoop to asking for one.
At first, it seemed bad that the guy had taken a job in our division, now it looks like a great thing, once we clean up his messes, Nutt's team will be an annual win for the Hogs.

No, I think they are finally realizing we were serious, and not just running the ole end around hoping to keep them from stealing away our all world fb coach. I guess they are beginning to realize the jokes on them.

If it walks like a Nutt, talks like a Nutt, has a brain about the size of a Nutt, then in all likelyhood, it is a Nutt.

I guess I got into the fire the Dork camp watching the wheels come off in the Las Vegas Bowl and of course the 4 QB's we used to beat them the next year.

Took me 7 years to realize that nutt was a total fraud.    I admit that I was totally hoodwinked by him and even campaigned for his hire.   Old Orville knew better.   He knew nutt didn't have what it took.     Only reason hootie lasted as long as he did here was that he was a former player, had Paw Paw protecting him and folks like Sunshine and Chuckles running cover for him.    He has none of those things in his favor at OM.   And they have all of us here warning them about him.    I say he only lasts 3, maybe 4 years there.

I stuck it out and tried to support TCTWF for several years before I saw the light.  I saw the errors of my ways right before the Wisconsin Citrus Bowl cluster f***.  I now have so much time to make up that I have to read every post on a thread like this and savor every word.  I am Schadenfreuede!!  My two favorite teams:

Here's another one from the Ole Miss free board.  Deja vu.  This guy doesn't like the staff and calls the "Wild Rebel" a "gadget formation."    ;D

http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=177&f=1103&t=3042351

I think I am more disgusted after this loss than any in a long time. During our struggles over the past few years it was obvious that our previous staff (as inept on gameday as they were) was having to use smoke and mirrors to keep us in games because of an amazing lack of talent and experience at some postitions. When our current staff accepted the job it was obvious that our team was in better shape personnel wise. Our team is loaded with players with NFL potential and is as big, fast and strong as any Ole Miss team in a long time. If you don't believe that just watch the NFL draft over the next couple of years and compare it to what you have seen the last couple of years. The pieces of the puzzle are here. This staff was supposed to put those pieces together.
Who decided it was a good idea to keep throwing the ball when it was obvious that the only way vandy was going to score any points on us was by getting the ball in great position due to turnovers. Who keeps putting a 160 lb. slot receiver at qb week after week in some gadget formation. At wake the slot receiver  threw a costly pick while the qb ran a post route. He didn't get a chance to make a mistake against Samford because he got knocked out of the game trying to be a running back. And is anyone surprised that Dexter was pummeled and lost the ball trying to run the ball up the gut on the goalline.
How in the hell did this staff ever win at Arkansas. How did they find a way to lose to an obviously overmatched vandy team. I have an idea. Next week let's try this. Let the qb play qb. Let the rb play rb. Let the wr play wr. I know it sounds crazy but we should give it a try. Our last staff never had this kind of experience and talent to work with. I don't know how they or anyone else could have been any worse yesterday.

Well, Ole Miss, good luck with letting the QB play QB.  If you try to hold that thought too long your brain will freeze.  It ain't gonna happen. LOL

1. 1969 Shootout (Longhorns 'n Hogs football)
2.  Great Alaska Shootout under Eddie Sutton
3.  Orange Bowl CLASSIC under the Great Lou
4.  Rollin w/Nolan AND the '94 NC
5.  Being able to see Nolan and Company at the Aloha Classic in Honolulu (Dec '94) & all of us breaking bread together at a luau, & watching Nolan do the hula after being called onstage. AWESOME!  It doesn't get any better than that.

I don't love laughing about it b/c for at least 2 years ole miss will beat us just based on talent. that won't be too funny. Also, years 3 and 4 if we throw 4 interceptions to them like we did yesterday they'll probably win those games too.  There is certainly no garantee this fancy passing game is going to work in this conference. It's not worked for Spurrier at South carolina, sure it did at Florida but look at the highschool talent out of Florida, anything would work there. why can't he make it work now, at a program with traditionly mediocre success like ours?
wow since when is passing the the football considered fancy? thank god for no more nutts.
to nutt or not to nutt, thats not even a question any more.

Albert, I grew up in Memphis and have watched the Rebs for years.  These guys still live with the memories of Vaught, Manning, and what once was.  It isn't taking some of these folks long to start asking if they got boned.

This guy is going to get an ulcer . . .

He just needs to accept the fact that he has been Nutted. How did the Ole Miss staff win at Arkansas? D-Mac, Jones, and Hillis. What is funny is the Ole Miss fans are all giddy over Nutt's record at Arkansas when we should have been contending for the the BCS championship at least two of the the last 3 years. Hey Ole Miss, it is what it is.

The Ole Miss staff didn't exactly win well at Arkansas either. With DMac, Hillis and Felix Jones, they were embarrassed twice by Southern Cal, and had the following SEC records: 2-6, 7-1, 4-4, a net of 13-11 over 3 years in SEC play. Not exactly setting the world on fire with the best offensive backfield in the country for 3 years and running a novelty formation like WildHog that many teams had not yet figured out how to defend. But, that's about par for Nutt...barely winning and be able to say he is a winner...and a fighter.

Just got off the OM board.  They seem to all be supporting Nutt and his staff to the fullest.  I think someone found a couple of people upset and put it on this board.  The Om posters said that the negative posts about Nutt were posters from AR and trying to start trouble on the board also.

Wrong... they owe us thanks.  No one adequately warned us.  We've gone above and beyond the call of duty to let all of them know what they are in for.  However, only a few believe us as of yet.  They should be thanking us for warning them, else it would have taken them, as Mississippians, at least 15 years to figure it out for themselves...  ;)
