That's just plain stupid.  He could never play a down in a game and still be better prepared for the NFL than had he gone to almost any other school.  He is at the best place he could have gone to develop his QB skills for the next level.
MM could be the next Cassel

Did Kirk just convince himself that the Big 10 is a fraud?

Yes he did.  Not only OSU, but the B10 overall.  I love it !!!

If the most important thing to you is going to the NFL, then yes, he may have a chance at going to the NFL without ever starting at USC.  But I will tell you that Matt Casell is the anomaly, not the rule.  I don't know of any other QB's that got drafted without ever playing in college.

If it were me I would much rather play than sit.  I understand why he transferred, I am just saying if it were me I would have chosen a different school where I know I would have had a lot better shot at starting at some point in my career.

Cassel hasn't started a game since high school.  Seriously?  How does that even happen?  Mitch did win 8 games in the SEC.  That's almost an entire schedule.  He has earned "a" stripe.

THE Ohio Sate U has a long trip back home.  I am sick of these guys, along with the rest of their over rated conf.  I would take OU or Florida over these guys any day.  Maybe now some of the national press will give this crap a break and we wont have to hear about how things will be "this time."

DW is GREAT.  Hang in there Mitch.

Ok, I know... I'll get some smites for this b/c theres a ton of USC hopefuls in here... I work with someone who used to be a sports broadcaster and is a HUGE Ohio State superfan. He is best friends with a sports trainer from Ohio St. I questioned him about last game and he said 2 things. He said the sports trainer told him Wells will definitely be playing this weekend, and up until late 3rd quarter, Ohio St. was down playing to conserve for USC last week.

Now, that being said, I still think USC is going to win, but its not going to be a HUGE blowout. I'll put my money on USC winning 31-28.

This sportscaster was a little off.  OSU may have underestimated Ohio, but they don't hold back to the point where they almost risk losing the game.  I can't completely blame him for predicting that Wells would play.  Heck, it sounds like Wells himself thought he might play.
Regardless, I've seen OSU enough to know they can't beat an SEC-caliber team, and USC is just that.  The NCAA might as well put USC in the SEC and crown the SEC champ the national champ.  I guess we could throw OK in there as well for kicks and giggles, but I've seen them choke enough in big games to deny them that privilege.

The majority of USC fans don't have any respect for the SEC or any of the teams in the SEC. They think that we all play cupcake schedules and none of our teams could possibly deserve anything close to a national championship. They, for the most part, have a lot more respect for The Big Ten and their teams than they do anything affiliated with the SEC. I like Mitch and Damian but I don't understand the dysfunctional support for their team.

Tressel is a hell of a coach.  He made the right decision.  I hate both of these teams, but they both have good men for coaches.
Whatever... U can have him.

I hate Ohio State... I hope they don't end up in the Top 5 again. But it is possible.
