And who is the overseer for the Athletic Department expenses? They don't monitor the itemized billing in this age of College Football. Seems fairly lax to me....until they dug a little deeper.

I am amazed how today, as a society, that we are willing to accept a liar's statement when the oblivious is heard and seen by our own eyes and ears. We need to stop hating the messengers.

Are you under the impression freeze was using school funds? Lol

What have you seen with your eyes as it relates to this whole topic?

I would say raping young children and covering up rape for decades is way worse than using an escort service (escorts and human trafficking are not the same thing).  We also don't even know if the latter happened.

You can believe what you want. Ole miss isn't in any position to cover anything up since they're under a crazy microscope at the moment. the best policy for themTransparency is  right now.

But yeah if you want to believe it goes way deeper than it actually does by all means go for it

We are speaking about Northern Mississippi and it's fan base.... 8)

And yes transparency is the best way to handle the worst of situations....don't we wish that was a mandatory requirement in all matters!?
Screw it! I'm an old angry male, live with it!

Was using a University funded phone for solictation for one....could that be considered theft of State funds? Or is that OP University business?

Administration running to deny any and all allegations related to this matter...until "oh" they dug something up...guess we forgot to take that into account....University knew of these inappropriate behaviors for some time.

So you are willing to dismiss all other possibilities because of their honesty and openness?

First, cell phone plans are usually fixed cost based so there would be no way to monitor cost wise. His bill would be the same if he made one call or a 1000. I am sure the call records for an SEC coach are rather lenghty. To your point I do see it as theft if he was making calls non work related. However no more than surfing the internet while someone is killing time at work.

When did the university ever deny Hugh was banging hookers? I still think some of you are having a hard time coming to the idea that it is entirely, and most likely the case, possible hugh was cheating to get players but also banging escorts on the side. These are two different situations.

I'm open to any possible  outcome. I'm just subject to facts instead of making speculation and then passing it off as fact. I would be lying if I said my first thought of the news wasn't  that it could have been for recruiting but taking everything that we know into account. Then listing to the press conference.  The way he was dismissed. It all points to a personal issue with freeze.

You don't think that is monitored by a administrator? Phone or work station wise? This isn't a small potatoes business we are speaking about in the University of Mississippi.

Always in Florida?...read today that Nashville has a serious problem...and Memphis has had for years. So wouldn't those places be closer? Tampa/St Pete centrally located on the Gulf coast. Right in the heart of Florida recruiting.

That is the reason HF is the scrape goat....The SEC is not new to this just ask Alabama and Auburn.

1.  No I don't think someone just sits around and monitors cell phone records to see who the coaches are calling. That may change now

2.  There you go. Assuming that it was always the same place. We don't know that and I'm pretty sure he was in Tampa at the time. It sounded like there were numerious places and "pattern of misconduct."  I'm sure we will hear more since most likely every news outlet has FOI'ed his call records as far back as they can.

3.  Awwwww the true tin foil hat theory is revealed.

I think he was in different cities recruiting and made those calls to the escorts, or that's what I read somewhere. I don't think it was for the recruits, just like Pitino, an assistant/booster would have been handling that. He violated the morals clause in his contract, and was terminated.

Aww the only thing I could find was where someone asked freeze about it he said he was in a 313 area code.

I agree with you. If recruits got hookers it would be been from a booster.

It is a easy app for any IT department to monitor company cell phones. Especially in this day and time of hacking....and if the company or University has connections or contracts with the government I promise you it will be monitored.

Mississippi recruits in several states...Georgia, DC, Virginia, Texas, Missouri, and apparently Michigan. I remember Nuttless became a little uneasy when his phone was FOI'ed, and the University eventually paid him to go away.

Ok. I'm pretty sure you're just trying to nail jello to a tree at this point. I will be the first to come back and tell you I was wrong if it is ever revealed Freeze was using his company phone to set up recruits with hookers. Even though to this point there is no evidence of that at all.

Well if it is 2 week old jello that was found in the back of your frig...then yeah you can nail it to a tree.

Fun playing with ya!

What about Jonathan Hess of Birmingham, AL? He looks to be a potential OLB-type. He played SS last year, but at 6'5" 220 lbs with 4.6 speed, he might develop into a quality OLB. He'd be a very good pick-up for the Hogs if they could flip him.
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is.

I'm betting more will come out.

The call the escort was done in Florida on 1/19 of this year. Right before signing day. That escort may have not been for freeze if you get what I'm saying.
I've been thinking on this.  Was Ole Miss recruiting anyone in the area of the call?  I don't know.
