The home plate ump in the Florida-LSU game was the worse I've seen in a while. The same pitch was a ball one time, a strike the next, not that I wasn't happy to see the Corndogs lose.

In today/nights Alabama-USCe game, USC led 4-0 after 6 innings. Bama scored 2 in the 7th, 1 in the 8th and 2 in the 9th to take a 5-4 lead going to the bottom of the 9th. Bama closer walks the lead-off batter, then gets the next 2 batters. On the next batter he throws 2 wild pitches to move the runner to 3rd before walking the batter to put men at the corners with 2 outs. He then wild pitches in the tying run before getting the final out of the 9th. They went to extra frames tied at 5. USCe wins it in 10.

We leave the March 23-26 SEC series with no undefeated teams. The 2 teams whose names start with a "T" came into Sunday's games without a Conference win. At the end of the day, only Tennessee remains winless as Texas A&M finally beats Vanderbilt to get off the snide.

Good come back by State.  Down goes Ole Miss!

Strange game.  Comedy of errors at the end.  MSU batter misses 1st base on a lead off double.  Ole Miss decides to go Broadway to Rooker with a 3-0 count and he rips a 2-RBI double.  MSU SS commits an error but they get away with it.  Ole Miss blows a DP and gives up the lead on a K with WP.  MSU boots a bunt in the 9th but wins anyway.  Lucky > Good.

PorkRyan

Looks like that win by MSU moved us up to 20 in the RPI.

southeasthog

LSU has now gone 1-4 in their last five games with the loss to A&M.

JHicks3636

Our sweep of Mississippi State is looking better and better by the game.

Wow.  LSU blows a 3-0 lead with 2 outs in the 9th and loses a home series to Texas A&M who started the weekend at 1-5 in SEC play.  That's gotta hurt.  Couple that with a mid-week loss to Tulane and I suspect we know who will drop the most spots in Monday's polls.

I'm sure it'll be spun that A&M finally found their rhythm and LSU will barely fall.  :puke:

Road series are TOUGH for everyone, glad we get LSU at home next week.
Kinda anxious to see Kentucky and Auburn traveling, think we might see just how for real they both are.

The Auburn series will for sure be an interesting one. A&M may have turned their season around with that thrilling victory on Saturday at LSU.

Just a note. For rankings I use the SEC website. It uses the NCAA rankings which are The USA Today Coaches Poll. The same rankings are used by the NCAA and SEC for every sport that the USA Today has a Coaches Poll. I know there are many more rankings, but it is the one I use for these posts.

Bama up 3-1 on Miss St. after 3 innings.  I would imagine that this is a good thing for the reason of creating more separation between us and Miss St. in the standings, but I get a bit confused who I should be cheering for when it is between two teams we have played before regards to helping our RPI.

Can someone that understands RPI a bit better let me know which SEC teams and other out of conference teams I should be cheering for and keeping an eye on this weekend?
