...but he is putting money in the bank at a rapid pace. If he continues at this rate, he is going to be well paid in about 18 months. He is playing very well against some big, physical, highly-regarded defenders and I think the NBA will be taking notice.

Kenny Dowell Loggains

Agreed.  He needs to stick around after this year and really work the media side of his NBA draft stock.  This year he's getting noticed, next year he'll be as hyped at Griffin and Hanesboro.

He needs to put on a little weight-- another year can help with that :)
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Washington hasn't shown a mid-range game or many moves in the post. He is scoring on rebounds and hustle for the most part. He needs one more year. He is showing tremendous improvent, though.

I don't recall an Arkansas player showing as much improvement from one year to the next as Washington has.  Amazing!

I want to see MW develop a drop-step or spin move to his right, down low with his back to the basket. Seems like he always works to his left, altho very effectively.

I am from McGehee and watched him play since junior high.  He has improved tremendously from a Michael Jones type that wanted to play the perimeter to the good inside player he is now.  He will not in my opinion be able to play at the next level with his back to the basket.  He needs to develop a mid range jumper and be able to face the basket on a consistent basis.  All of the dunks and putbacks won't be possible in the NBA.  He also needs to greatly improve his defensive skills.  I never thought that he would be an NBA type of player but I am happy to sat that I think that he will get the chance after next season.  I just hope that he does not get bad advice after this year.

Agreed, he is not an NBA center.  But, he has good moves and ball-handling---a good slasher. I think he will make it in the NBA as a 3 or 4.

Example---on that final dunk vs Texass, he gave a ball-fake & drove around the defender. Washington has the moves of a small forward & the rebounding of a power forward.
