we will win the west by 2 games minimum.

lsu is overrated.

I think miss state is the 2nd best team int he conference. that big man is going to give fortson hell trrying to driv eint eh paint.

Like I said, LSU had played two games against the top 200.  Stupid scheduling, and they are paying for it.

Alabama hung around at undefeated Clemson after destoying Ga Tech at home.  Hogs and Tide seem to be the West teams picking up steam.

yeah.

i counted out bama long ago, yet they looked good even though they lost at clemson.  obviously a healthy (and older) steele is a MAJOR difference

MSU trounced Houston and Western Kentucky, shooting better than 50% from 3-pt range.  They are coming on too.

They play great defense but struggle to score.  Bama will be tough at their place.

I was hoping we would carry the banner for the SEC, but I didnt expect to be the only bright spot... ;)

Biggus, after these two games, barring injury and extreme implosion, which SEC games do you see us losing or having serious trouble with besides Bama? Obviously Florida will be a given.

Utah's not a bad basketball team, but to lose by 30?   Not good, not good at all.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. Yeah, and the Tigers aren't very happy over there on Tigerdroppings.  Kind of bitter to the Arkansas Fans.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

I think we need to go at least 11-5.

Losses to Bama, LSU, MSU, Fla, and Tenn.
We have to sweep Ole Miss, Aub, then beat GA, SC, Vandy, KY, Ala, MSU, and LSU.

MSU will be a major test for the Hogs' conference opener.  They must take care of business and win every game at BWA as beating SEC teams on the road still isn't going to be easy.

ABSOLUTELY.  One game at a time or we will lose our buzz.

These two amazing hard fought victories will mean nothing if we do not come out and smoke the conference... I think 11-5 is a safe prediction... 10-6 is realistic... I would like to come out 12-4 or 13-3

i just don't see 5 losses looking at that schedule. the games that will give us fits are Tennesse at home, bama at bama, msu at msu and ole miss at ole miss, just becuse it's ole miss

It is not easy to win on the road. Add 15 to 20 points to the Home team in an SEC contest. Games Hogs win easily at home will be tough fights on the road. Winning at the weakest schools, Auburn, etc., is no sure thing on the road.

We will beat Tennessee at home. Losses could be at Bama, at MSU, at Ole Miss...pretty much AT anywhere. People we are YOUNG....so YOUNG. The road in the SEC is a tough place to cut your teeth. We'll be fine though. I say 10-6 is a good guess.

LRCentralTiger

Utah has beaten a few other schools everyone here is familiar with.

Ole Miss by 11 on a neutral court.
Missouri State by 13 in Springfield
Zags by 1 at home
Lost to OU by 18 at Norman

Utah's center goes 7'-2"/265 lbs and not bad a bad player.  Saw him play against the Zags.  He is from the land down under.

Our schedule sets up very nice with the teams in the West.  Tennessee and Kentucky in Fayetteville are very beatable.  After OK and Texas, there is no reason we can't win both those games.  Barring injuries or off the court problems.  Florida will probably be a tough game on the road but we can handle Georgia, USC there and Vandy there.

Have you been to Columbia or Nashville to see the Hogs play? I have and both are VERY difficult places to win. Auburn is too, Tuscaloosa doubly so and Starkville is just plain hell.

Absolutely nowhere is worse than Oxford; they could put 5 ball girls in jerseys and we'd lose in Oxford.

It seems like Steele has been here forever.  He is an awesome point guard.  And don't let him get to the free throw stripe cuz he will kill you there.....never misses.

I hate the Tad Pad.........we never win there.  Hopefully that will change this year.

Yes.  We have to play.  Neither team will lay down and we have to prove ourselves on the road but that is doable.  I have watched Vandy and USC play and was not impressed.  Vandy is nowhere near the team they were last year and USC is not as good as I expected.  We go flat, we get beat.  We play decent, we win.   I was referring only to the East only.

Our problems will be on the road in the West.  I don't disagree there.

Alabama is the team to beat IMO.

They struggle so badly to score, there's no way they win on the road.  Mississippi State has a chance to be pretty decent.  They have a big man and a shooter that Bama cannot match.  Auburn will win a road game or two, and they will murder people at their place.  Auburn is my pick to be the West winner if we don't do it.
