They don't know it's too much- and that works in our favor. Nail alluded to that and in a way, I think he's right.

I saw an interview with Coach Pelphrey before the OU game where he was asked about the upcoming week's schedule with OU and TU Shorthorns coming up. He said that his goal was to try and win one of those two. I wonder if that has changed now.

Pel is a realist. I will say this. If we lose, it won't be for lack of a game plan, execution, or effort. We will be beaten by Texas, not by ourselves. I think that is the most we can expect even while we hope and pray for a win.

I think Arkansas can win this game. It is a home game at night and everyone knows how big this game is. The crowd will be very loud. I know Texass is a good team and should win the game but I am picking Arkansas in this one.

After OU, I Think Pel was more worried about NT in LR. Now we can play BTTWall against the shorthorns. We got our split AND the Trap game in the bag, now the Gravy. Ought to be a really good game, regardless of who wins. Hogs at home.

I think this is one of the games where our bad perimeter D and free throw shooting torpedo us in the second half.

Texas gets out to a 3 or 4 point halftime lead, and clings to win by 7ish, because we can't hit FTs.

I wouldn't worry about them being tired. They never looked tired against OU and the pace of that game was higher than the pace of today's game. When they play in a big game like UT the adrenaline should kick in.

I think it will be just too much for these guys to get up to play OU, have to play at Alltel, and then play Texas. I don't want it to happen, but I think Texas will beat us pretty bad. Texas hates OU, and beating the team that beat OU is the next best thing to actually beating OU. Texas by 15.

I went back last night and watched both the Oklahoma and North Texas games. After watching the two games I am not sure if we will be able to beat Texas. Oklahoma seemed to have a bad game, yes we played well but I don't know if that will be enough to beat Texas unless they have a bad game too. I really hope that I have to eat crow come Tuesday. If I am wrong I will be the first to open a thread eatting crow.

Now that I have said that, I must say that in the next year or two we will be a damn good basketball team with Final 4 potential.

I picked Arkansas because I am a homer. I thought OU would take us to the wood shed and I was wrong. This team is short on depth and fouls to give. Any player having an off night, any player fouling out, nearly any bad luck and we can be beat bad. We got a chance if we avoid most or all of the many things that can go other ways. We won't sneak up on Texas.

Think the Texass guards frustrate Fortson and his inexperience gets exposed. Since hogs go as Fortson goes, the young hogs will get frustrated and make too many freshman mistakes to win.
