Yes, thx. What kind of stock though? I know there's precious metals, energy, etc. What stocks are equities comprised of?

Any and all stocks.  Equities are simply another term for them since a share of stock represents a share of ownership, hence equity, in a company.

When you buy a share of stock you are buying an equity stake in a company.  Therefore stock and equity are interchangeable terms.

Equity isnt sonething people usually look at to make.money fast. Usually something to grow in value over time.
