I need more range on my wireless network

I have Windstream and I cant get my wireless to reach to the back of my home.  My home is not that big (1 story)   I am willing to buy a device to extend it but have no idea what is good/bad.  I read online about Linskys and a few others but honestly some of the jargon is well above my level of understanding.  Any help or advice appreciated   Thanks

Get the AirPort Extreme. Set it about 30 feet or so away from your cable / DSL modem (maybe in dead center of the house).

If you have an older home, especially with plaster walls, you will always have issues getting a decent signal. This also is true for homes built in the early 80s and older... we have this issue in our house, and it was built in 1971. Still the original drywall. It's something in how the drywall was formed that dampens the wifi signal.
