QuoteGeorgia will travel to Kentucky on Tuesday, which embarks the Bulldogs on a brutal SEC stretch that could have big implications when it comes to the postseason. Following the Kentucky game, the Bulldogs will travel to South Carolina on Saturday and host Florida on Feb. 7. If Georgia can pull out two of the three games, its NCAA Tournament chances will be given a huge spike. Even one win may go a long way.

All three teams are in the RPI top 20, which should significantly boost Georgia's strength of schedule. Any wins during this three-game span should then see Georgia's own RPI move up.

Bulldogs have missed some great opportunities during the year. A poor second half against Oakland, a devastating turn of events against Texas A&M and a blowout against Alabama are games Georgia would love to have back at the moment. If those three games were wins, Georgia's sitting pretty at this stage of the season.

RPI: 53

Team record: 13-8 overall, 4-4 SEC

Overall strength of schedule: 31

Record vs. RPI 1-50: 0-4

Last 10 games: 5-5

Kentucky 90, Georgia 81 OT. My guess is De'Aaron Fox will be back when 'Cats (18-4, 8-1 SEC) come to G'ville to face Gators on Saturday.

Nice sign off by Brent Musburger, and classy sendoff by broadcast partner Jay Bilas as well. Brent will be missed.

Calipari said Fox got sick yesterday, SKJ got sick today. "This flu that's going around ..." UK disinfecting again.

Calipari figures still maybe 10 days before Mychal Mulder is back. That's some illness.

Jason Butt: Georgia's 90-81 loss in overtime at No. 8 Kentucky

QuoteKentucky won by nine points in overtime. Much of the reason for this, in the grand scheme of things, had to do with how the Wildcats were rebounded [sic] when possessing the basketball.

Seventeen of Kentucky's 45 rebounds were of the offensive cariety [sic].

Monk had apparently also knocked Butt, editor on their brain.
