Joe Mosby, 85, a giant in the outdoor writing community, died Sunday from the ravages of brain cancer.

Although he played many roles in a long and productive career, Joe was best known as the longtime outdoor editor for the Arkansas Gazette.
If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

Had a good run.....covering hunting and fishing in Arkansas likely a good gig.

He was a member of the Arkansas Outdoor Hall of Fame and a neighbor of mine. I enjoyed his columns.

IMO he had the best gig in the Newspaper business.
