If we fired Red after one game agasint the Citadel, then why not fire Nutt after this game in his 8th season?  What's the difference?

Nutt is obviously out of his element and cannot compete with the top 40 teams in the nation. Again, either fire Nutt or switch to CUSA.

sarcasm aside, this is a very good team.  they are already sayiing that this is the greatest offensive team in usc history, and those are some pretty big words.  a lot of teams are going to catch the same ass kicking we got tonight.  ou caught a serious one last year, and that was for the national championship with carroll calling off the dogs early in that one too.  not trying to make excuses, but usc is extremely talented.

we've got a potentially loaded offensive roster... when you think about P. Hillis, F. Jones, D. McFadden, M. Monk, C. Logan, and R. Johnson being either Freshman or Sophomores we've got a lot of firepower at the skill positions.  where our problem is with our defense but more importantly our line of scrimmage (o-line and d-line).  we can't pass protect well enough to stretch the field... that's obvious.  our d-line can't hold the line to save their lives... and when that happens, our LB's don't have lanes to fly to the ball because they're running into the DL.  our secondary is horrible, but we maybe got 2 hits in on Leinart tonight and one of them was about 4 seconds late.

if they decide to fire HDN before the season is over, it's going to make an already hard schedule that much harder with the shake-up.  however, if you wait 'til the end of the year you run the risk of losing out on recruits who'll want to know who they'll be playing for if they come to arkansas.

if we can get a high profile coach then I say upgrade, but right now in the middle of the season, we're not going to find anybody unless they're out of coaching (butch - but he's said that he doesn't want the job).  if it ends up being another "project" coach from a mid-major conference (like Nutt was from murray state), I don't think the fan base will accept that.  they want a top-tier guy and I don't know exactly who would satisfy the majority of fans.

2.  HDN recruited this crappy defense.  He should be flogged outside the student union. 

3. Is firing HDN right now really going to make the season any worse? No. It can't get any worse than having USC kick your ass and then be staring in the face of a buttkicking at Bama.  The longer the suits let it go the more they admit that they are happy with our program.

The Hogs had not given up 70 points in the history of two-platoon football.  What were people hoping for before this season?  Eight wins and a bowl.  We're so far off that pace it is startling.  Alabama, which got socked with much greater sanctions than we did + did much more wrong, came back faster than we did!  How can you accept that?

Yeah, I know. But we allowed them to score more points than they have scored in 35 years. And they have had some great teams over that time. And they could easily have scored another 2 or 3 TD's...if they had not put in their 3rd team on offense.

I don't see how the season could get any worse!  I think it's a very real possibility that we get blown out again next week at Alabama.  Honestly, I see us winning one more game (possibly) and that's against Miss. State.
