Watched two Razorbacks today in the Latin American Amateur...... Alvaro Ortiz a sophomore leads after the first day at -4.... Nicolas Echavarria a Sr.. shot even par and is in 14th place... the low 60 after tomorrows round, play the weekend...

mods can move, just wanted to give a shout out to a couple outstanding HOGS for their performance.... :razorback:

Nicolas (Nico) shot 7 under this morning on a tough track to take the morning lead @ -7, Alvaro, the overnight leader boggied one.....

Meet Luis Garza's parents, he will be a freshman HOG next year, he's from Mexico as well...  had just teed off in the afternoon and sotod at -2 in  6th place...

A lot of good golfers here, and the Hogs seem to have a real following in Mexico... nice young men and classy folks...Go Hogs....

also mentioned in the OP about talking with the Mexican National Coach and he was over the top about  Maria Fassi  He told the story about her a senior in HS and they rushed her to the Hill and she played in a tourney with-in the week of her arrival... she's the real deal and just helped lead the 7th ranked ladies to upset of #1 Duke..

and finally, David Lingmerth had a hole in one at the Masters yesterday...unknown Hog wins Major ?.. time for a repeat? ...
