Quote from: TheCivilBoar on Today at 05:49:55 pmWill these walk-ons be awarded scholarships? IN that case, the last 2 or 3 guys down the roster would be understood as "walk-ons" but technically on scholarship.

According to what I was listening to, yes, that does happen. It takes a potential issue with playing time and makes it a celebration for a walk-on receiving a scholarship.

The times done changed.

Mercs are seldom loyal to anyone except themselves.  There is a lot to be said for players that will fix bayonets, charge and damm the cost.

I suspect that we've already seen a season tanked by mercs here.

Quote from: bphi11ips on Today at 05:09:04 pmIt has everything to do with it.

The question is simple.  You're one of Brazile's inner circle at the beginning of this year.  What is your strategy to insure he'll get drafted?

At the beginning of the season, you and Erie told us Brazile was doing what did because that's what he'll do in the NBA.  My question then and now is whether that's the best strategy for every player to take.

It doesn't.

Play like he did in Maui (ya know when we looked like an elite team; crazy what having a guy play his role at an NBA level will do) and don't let people get into your chest on drives. If he did that for a season he's a top 20 pick. He didn't.

I'll ask again because you didn't answer what in the world did you want him to do that he didn't do that is making you ask this question?

Andy Staples asks 'burning question' in SEC heading into 2024 season

by: Griffin McVeigh

Quote"Which of the SEC teams are going to make this first 12-team playoff?"

Even so, it's incredibly unlikely the conference sends seven teams to a 12-team playoff. Staples says "at most" four teams will make it but three is a more realistic number. SEC scheduling plays will heavily factor (sic) into the equation, with some having tougher opponents than others.
