team was loaded, MayDay & Big O, but Shepherd, IBM, and Hawkins were great and Rimac and Linn could nail some 3s.

young McDaniel on that team as well.

if I remember right Mayberry and Day weren't quite hitting their shots against Memphis St.  Hawkins delivered but some guy other than Penny was lights out for Memphis St.

Not sure how far we could have gotten that year.  We didn't match up well against Nick Van Exel and Cincinnati, and if so, the Fab 5 and Michigan and a loaded Duke team would have been next.  College basketball was loaded back then.

That was my freshman year on the hill.  Remember it like yesterday.

I attended this game but remember almost nothing about it, except that Nolan Richardson became emotional afterward when discussing how it felt to coach against his longtime assistant, Scott Edgar.   

Wasn't able to get back to Milwaukee for the Memphis game, which turned out to be fortunate.   (Hog.goblin:  David Vaughn was the Memphis player who killed us.  He had 26 points on 11-for-15 shooting.)
