Unsigned Texas commits

Between Texas A&M and SMU there are a lot of unsigned commits. Hopefully we can pick off a couple........

Considering CBB had 12 commits for the longest time, you have to assume there are more slots available or that will be coming available.

That would only put us at 12 for this class. I think we might get to 15, but we may also have some walkons not get their scholarships renewed.

I think we recruited White hard before the commit to AM.  CCM said we would sign 4 Off and 4 def.  I say take these four and call it a day.  Fills our needs.

We have BODIES and I would think we'll go with (a) best available for the four defensive players or (b) one at each level (DL, LB, CB, S).

That said, our most deficient defensive position on the team last year was a close race between NG and S. How much of that was scheme or philosophy?

I'd say NG was more personnel. Past Jackson we really didn't have one big enough for a 3-4, and Jackson didn't seem to have the strength to require a doubleteam. And our ends were really built more for a 4-3. To me that is where the defense broke down.

I think they took some guys and beefed them up too much and limited their speed.........Agim & Cantrell for starters.
