Please enlighten us.

Good. I wouldn't be upset if they did away with the tournament(as an Arkansas fan) but this is moving in the right direction.

Quote from: 12247 on Today at 09:35:57 pmI like Hagen, Mac and Wood as someone else likes, forgot who.  Mac is experienced and not gonna get shell shocked.  He may not be our best pitcher but he has been there a few times and shouldn't be bothered by the size of the game.  Gaeckle just looks at the next batter and goes to work.  He is still too young to worry about who it is and self assured enough to believe he could keep the Yankees lineup on a string if necessary.  Tygart and Molina need to set back and look at the game for a week or so.  SEC hitting ate both of them up recently and that wasn't an accident.  I am not sur but Hagen might benefit from a week off, I am not sure.  He looked a bit tired and ragged out his last outing.  Our starters have been under the gun for weeks now.  The pressure has been great. Believing you must throw a shutout to win every week is hard on any player.
All three have been off to some degree lately. Hagen hasn't been as consistently in the zone. They have to be worn out. Every inning they're throwing is high leverage

I keep thinking about what one of the Florida(MLB) teams was doing recently. Starting a reliever and getting maybe two innings and then going to the normal starter for five or six. I wonder if that might help Molina and Tygart with their headspace.

This comes up every year...... if you tie for the division or overall, you are co-champs.  The head-to-head of for seeding purposes only in Hoover.

Quote from: MemphisBossHog on Today at 06:47:28 pmI will freely admit that I thought us getting run ruled was a distinct possibility because there were runners at the corners with no outs or maybe 1 out. I figured it would be at least 7-0 before we could bat again and hey, remember, Miss Stake was torching the ball. Hitting doubles not just weak singles. I don't like to think we might get run ruled but State looked like they were hitting on all cylinders and we simply were not.

But I'm so glad it turned around. All credit to the kids. They never laid down. They never do. Very proud of them and so glad I was wrong about how this game was going to turn out.

The players rarely do.  It's a pretty common occurrence for a lot of fans on this board.

Quote from: EastMemphisHog on Today at 09:48:32 pmCarson Wiggins might get a shot on the mound too. Sounds like he's already in the upper 90's.

Doubt he makes it to campus

Quote from: onebadrubi on Today at 09:33:31 pmJust a hunch, I think Jones felt angry he didn't a leg up on an outfield shot this year.  I could be wrong though.

He got first chance in LF and started day 1. He maybe got lost in a shuffle a bit mid-season but beyond that, he doesn't have much of a gripe

Quote from: hogsanity on Today at 09:40:36 pmI said all the angst is over maybe the top 100-200 getting paid. The real difference makers. No one cares if the 3rd string tackle at Southern Miss is getting a grand from someone for a camp or something because they knew his dad and owe him a favor. They care about a QB who was a star for their team leaving to go somewhere else because they got offered more nil money.
The reality is we do not know who or how many are being paid what amount and who is paying them.
And it is not nil as it was intended, it is pay to play.
When a person is paid to play he is no longer an amateur but a pro.
I have never enjoyed pro sports.
Not knocking those who do, but I do not.
If that is what college sports is coming to just say so and stop with the bull.
