Not a vet myself but wanted to salute my son-in-law who just retired from USAF as a Master Sergeant.  He was an ammo guy and did three tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq.  The US of A is very blessed to have men such as this who are so selfless in their service!!!

Ever go for "live fire" at Graf?

Biggest Deer (not Elk my friends) and Boar Hogs I have ever seen in my life. Absolutely beautiful forested areas and the coldest of showers in German winters, if you could even get back into camp to get one. Still, it was a shower. About all you could say for it. You spent little time under that ice cold shower. ;)

Yes I did, like 2 to 3 weeks at a time about three times. Seems like it was always muddy. Cold rain and mud. Also recall some wild hogs (imagine) rummaging through our Aid Station. Not as aggressive as these wild American Hogs. Great stuff. Two of the fastest years in my life were spent there.

I would like to say a thank you to all of the men and women who have taken that oath before me. Y'all have taken that oath, talked the talk AND  walked the walk. I may be serving now, but without you brave men and women, I may not have been here to fill the shoes that you wonderful people have retired from. Thank you, from Coveman.

Put a lot of miles (or kilometers) on the old minivan in two short years. Time is getting short though. My son is the starting LT for the Ramstein HS Royals (2014 European Champions!) and he graduates next year so that should be the end of the line for me in Germany. :(
