Here is a good read regarding the veteran combine (for those of you that care) that took place over the weekend. It mentioned Felix Jones, Tyler Wilson, and Jamal Anderson.

I wonder if Felix has gotten back down to his college weight and what his 40 was? He's hardly been over used, hope he gets another shot.

"Jones ran two 40-yard dashes, one in 4.79 seconds and one in 4.85 seconds, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Those times reveal that Jones has lost a lot of speed since he came out of college and ran a 4.47-second 40-yard dash at the 2008 Combine."

not exactly awe inspiring

So everyone one of the nationalized incidents were justified? There is no race problems with policing? If that is what you believe.....well bless your heart, it must be hard going through life with the obstacles you must have to overcome. Do they send a bus to come pick you up?

He claims to have run a 4.43 at age 50.

Also

Willie Gault is still racing around at 48

Friday, May 1, 2009

"Compare that to Gault, who can still crack 10 seconds in the 100-yard dash, and last year ran the 40 in a blistering 4.27."

Saw another article somewhere where all the times at the Veteran Combine were really slow.  All the participants mentioned it.

I think I saw that all the times were about a 10th of a second slow, if not a little more, due to something about how they were recorded. That said, Felix is probably still about a 4.7 now.

LOLZ at the veteran combine.

There was some quote on twitter when Michael Bush saw his 40 time.

He said something like "4.89? Jesus christ its time to hang them up".

Apparently some dude ran near the 6s, which is close to what Rich Eisen ran.

There's a reason why they've all been cut...the teams don't just cut them to do it just for the heck of it

I saw him (Bush)  in some activity, he didn't look like a guy that trained real hard for this event! He looked a little bloated and not defined, thought Felix looked better.

Thanks, he can still put a move on 'em though or so he says.

Why would Michael Sam be a "veteran" of the NFL. He hasn't played a freaking down in the NFL in the regular season. He's a not a "veteran" of anything but college football.
"In the East, college football is a cultural exercise.

On the West Coast, it is a tourist attraction.

In the Midwest, it is cannibalism.

But in the South, college football is a religion, and every Saturday is a holy day."
