Let's call those hogs!!!!

PharmacistHog

I hate to hear that LSU. Ya'll will be in our prayers as well.
Quote from: GA reddiehog on May 18, 2019, 12:36:02 pm
Hogs have hit a wall at the wrong time of the season. I will go on record now and say they may not even get out of their regional. The hitting has been carrying them with a few good pitching outings but they just don't have the reliable pitching they need to get back to the CWS.
Quote from: GA reddiehog on April 16, 2024, 07:44:38 pmPitching over hyped and hitting nonexistent is going to make for several loses here on out. Maybe it will not be as bad as the BB team. Lack of hitting has been a problem for many moons.

Thanks for sharing, very inspirational.

All are in my thoughts and prayers, God Bless.

LSU, you are in my thoughts and prayers. You have honored him with your words here and telling his story.

May God continue to bless Bro. Al's family.
I can't return your PM for some reason.

I will take you up on your offer if need be.
I ain't saying you babysitting, but my kids are all over your couch.

Well still think the crappie are coming. I'll just save them for you to do whatever. Maybe you and the boys can just have a fishfry in his honor.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Sir, your written tribute to a great man has literally brought tears to my eyes. Well done.

I just prayed for him, his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Prayed ya'll would receive comfort during this time. Also prayed that he would receive comfort during this stage of life as well.

May God's grace, joy, and peace be with all of you, in Jesus name.

So sorry for your loss. As previously stated we're losing this generation way too fast. Based on your words he lives on in you and your boys. There is no better thing to leave behind than that legacy.

Prayers for you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

And I thank you for reminding us all that there are so many things in this life that are far more important than the events we all get so worked up about on this board. Whether a loss like yours or a gift of a child like Chief's, they make winning or losing a ball game or a recruit pretty trivial.

Hey Super

I've never been a man of prayer, but please know that my thoughts, prayers, and gratitude are completely with him. Please thank him for his service and his loyalty. I can only hope that his remaining days are comfortable surrounded by his loving family, which seems undoubtedly so. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. You wrote such a beautiful tribute to your Grandfather, it brought tears to my eyes. You and your family are in my prayers.

PolishPigPower

Just saw this. My condolences to LSUFan, and all thoughts and prayers out to Mr. Dennis' family, and to the family and friends of all the other stories told on here. These men and women should be cherished and revered for what they accomplished, that they themselves would consider to be of little consequence.

My grandfather arrived in the Ardennes less than a week after his only brother had been killed during the outbreak of the Battle of the Bulge. He was later wounded there, and never spoke of any of this. To anyone. Never. He was a mean workaholic who drank too much, and I felt little remorse when he passed 30 years ago. But now, with the bigger picture better understood, I am proud to be that man's legacy.

92 is a full life, a great life....think of all the changes he witnessed from a mere child all the way to 92 years of age....celebrate him, for he helped rid this world of unspeakable tyranny and hatred....I can tell you nor your children will ever forget him...no man could ask for more out of life...the Lord called his name and now the memories will only become larger than life as he waits patiently for his family to join him...thats how I coped with the loss of a father who seems to have been much like the gentleman you and your family lost...take care, brother
The long Grey line will never fail our country.

Men like him built our nation into a superpower not by wealth but with God-given, hard earned character and determination through times harder than any of us can fathom today. May God comfort your family as you grieve. When next you see him, he will be young and have a lot more great things to tell you. Until that day, at least you have the peace of knowing his work is done and his reward is at hand.

May the love of the Holy Spirit comfort you and your family brother.
