Only 2 more days until opening day of the regular season!

AL Cy Young: Johan Santana (how can you pick against this guy?)

NL Cy Young: Chris Carpenter (throws his first career no-hitter this year)

selfexplanatory

I will pick against the guy

Roy Halladay -- AL

Carlos Zambrano -- NL
This year's nominee for the Coopy award.

Err, now I know it's easy to bash Shiloh Christian, but I'm pretty there aren't that many high schools in Arkansas that have a player picked in the 3rd round of the NFL Draft.
Or have you forgotten where Damian Williams played school?

Dice-K will probably win something, because of all the hype whether he deserves it or not...Just like when Chipper was robbed of the NL Rookie of the Year because of the Nomo b.s.

Oklahawg

AL: Erik Bedard
NL: Brett Myers

Just to toss out two different names that I think step up a level this year.
I am a Hog fan. I was long before my name was etched, twice, on the sidewalks on the Hill. I will be long after Sam Pittman and Eric Mussleman are coaches, and Hunter Yuracheck is AD. I am a Hog fan when we win, when we lose and when we don't play. I love hearing the UA band play the National Anthem on game day, but I sing along to the Alma Mater. NL Cy Young:  Brad Penny
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

selfexplanatory

May 13th update
NL
Brad Penny  5 - 0   ERA 1.39   K 33
Jake Peavy  5 - 1   ERA 1.52   K 66

AL
Josh Beckett  7 - 0   ERA 2.51   K 40
and a lot of others pretty close to each other

This year's nominee for the Coopy award.

That would be one thing that would really piss me off.  I wouldn't put it past the voters though.

Hudson's no where close to the same pitcher he was last season.  Unbelievable turnaround. I'll admit, I was a doubter
